How Klunk Makes Money
Klunk is a free vehicle reliability research tool. We don't charge you to use it and we never will. To keep the site running, some pages contain affiliate links to third-party products and services. When you click one of these links and make a purchase or request a quote, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
What This Means for You
Affiliate relationships never influence our data, scores, or rankings. The Klunk Score is calculated entirely from NHTSA complaint data. We don't get paid to rank one vehicle higher than another. The complaint data comes directly from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and we present it as-is.
Our Partners
Klunk is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
We may also partner with other automotive services including car shopping platforms, warranty providers, and parts suppliers. All affiliate links are clearly marked as "Sponsored" on the page where they appear.
Data Sources
All vehicle complaint data, recall information, and investigation data is sourced from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Klunk is not affiliated with NHTSA, any vehicle manufacturer, or any dealership.
