When turning any direction or hitting speeds of 75 mph +, vehicle makes loud noise and starts shaking. Took it to an independent mechanic and ran a diagnostic, they said the rear differential is going out which isn't normal for vehicles with this mileage and said it was a manufacturer defect. When I took the vehicle to a Ford dealership, the tech laughed and said there's a one month wait for parts and 15 other Broncos in front of me dealing with the same issue.
On [XXX], my 2022 Ford Bronco Sport was stationary under my residential carport. I was seated in the front passenger seat with the passenger door open. I reached across and depressed the brake pedal with my hand and pressed the engine Start/Stop button. I did NOT touch or move the rotary gear selector before starting the vehicle. Immediately after the vehicle started, it unexpectedly began moving backward. I reached over and moved the gear selector to PARK to stop the vehicle. Before I was able to stop it, the open passenger door was caught and bent backward, causing damage to the vehicle. I did not intentionally select REVERSE or command the vehicle to move backward. I am reporting this because I am concerned that an unintended transmission/gear-selection or electronic control malfunction allowed the vehicle to move backward upon startup without Reverse being selected. VIN: [XXX] I am requesting that this incident be documented and evaluated as a potential vehicle safety defect involving unintended vehicle movement. Insurance claim will be filed for damage. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
I first noticed noise from the rear of the vehicle in early July 2026, within days of picking it up from Louisburg Ford following a turbocharger repair completed June 29, 2026. The rear drive unit (rear differential) has since been diagnosed as failing at 82,053 miles, with a repair quoted at approximately $4,000. Ford documented this failure mode in Technical Service Bulletin 23-2335, issued October 2023 and superseded by 24-2185 and 24-2386, identifying the rear drive unit vent hose as an entry point for fluid contamination that destroys the unit. My vehicle is within the affected population — 2022 Bronco Sport Outer Banks with the 1.5L engine, delivered October 29, 2022. In October 2023, when Ford documented this defect, my vehicle had approximately 25,000 miles and was under its bumper-to-bumper warranty. The vehicle has been serviced exclusively at Louisburg Ford since delivery at 11 miles, and the records show the vent hose has never been replaced — the original design remains installed. This vehicle has also required repairs to engine sealing at three separate leak sources, the high-pressure fuel injectors, the exhaust converter, and a complete turbocharger and wastegate assembly, all before 83,000 miles. Ford has offered partial assistance, leaving $1,685 as my share. The vehicle is currently not drivable.
Brake components showing signs of failure at 28,000 miles on both front and rear brakes. Safety placed at risk given speed and general use of vehicle which includes passengers. This includes grinding stops, increasing foot pressure used to stop car, and under certain conditions reconsidering use of vehicle. Ford dealership inspected vehicle and is aware of issue and noted TSB (T25-2438) in service visit diagnosis. No warning lights present. Signs first appear as increased brake dust covering rim and tire areas, increasingly loud grinding and squealing of brakes whether in drive or reverse. No remedy provided by Ford despite low mileage and understanding that the issue is not normal wear and tear on vehicle.
My vehicle is subject to NHTSA Recall 25V467 / Ford Recall 25S76 for a fuel injector that may crack and leak fuel into the engine compartment, creating a risk of fire. The recall was issued in July 2025 and remains open more than a year later. Ford has provided an interim PCM software update intended to detect a leaking injector and mitigate the fire risk, but this does not replace the defective fuel injectors and the recall remains open. Ford states that a final remedy is still being developed / is not currently available for my vehicle. I am concerned about the length of time this safety defect has remained without an available permanent repair. The vehicle continues to be operated while subject to a known fuel-leak and underhood-fire risk, and I do not have the ability to have the defective components permanently repaired despite the recall having been open since July 2025. I am requesting that NHTSA review the delay in Ford providing the final remedy for Recall 25V467. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. I have not experienced a fuel leak, fire, crash, or injury at this time.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford Bronco. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V467000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. Both the valve included in Ford's TSB 24-2185 and the clutch pack included in TSB 26-2328 both defaulted in the vehicle, causing debris and metal shavings to accumulate in the RDU which resulted in pitting of the gears and parts. This has resulted in a complete RDU replacement. The vehicle has only 65,700 miles.
Locking device to secure car seat to the base broke, on this REPLACEMENT infant car seat. Graco Case #49771285, 10/19/25 (I no longer have pictures or videos of defective car seat, Graco should have them on file. The infant seat was returned to Graco QA, the Graco replaced it with current defective car seat on 10/24/25). Current Graco infant car seat Case # 5195437 with Reference # 520230003. I have pictures of this one. In addition, our daughter gave us her back up car seat to use with her son, the one we bought the above car seats for. This SSME & 3rd infant car seat had the SAME DEFECT! We asked Graco to RECALL these seats. They said they don’t make them any longer. We requested a recall again and said we would also be submitting a report of defect to NHTSA, this is it. We are concerned for the safety of thousands of infants nationwide that are still using these infant car seats. PLEASE follow up with Graco AND recall these infant car seats. Thank you from a concerned grandparent.
Oil pump solenoid has been replaced 3 times and the vehicle is under 100,000 miles. There is a low oil light illuminates on dash board in addition to acceleration lose and a white smoke coming from under the hood and the back end of the vehicle. The 6th or 7th time this happened the Bronco had to be towed. There were many more problems included in this tow, powertrain failure, engine misfire, loss of power, crackling, popping sound from under the hood.
I am reporting a safety concern involving the transmission in my 2022 Ford Bronco Sport equipped with the 1.5L engine and 8-speed automatic transmission (8F35). I purchased this vehicle new in May 2022 with approximately 6 miles on it. At approximately 83,000 miles, the vehicle displayed a “Powertrain Malfunction/Reduced Power” warning through FordPass. The notification stated that a transmission clutch had not applied within the expected amount of time and warned that I may experience limited functionality, including unavailable gears. I took the vehicle to an authorized Ford dealership, All Star Ford Denham Springs, for diagnosis. On August 4, 2026, the dealership informed me in writing that the vehicle has an internal transmission failure and metal in the transmission fluid. The technician determined that the transmission requires complete replacement. I was subsequently quoted approximately $13,000 for the repair. I am concerned that an internal transmission failure of this nature could result in reduced propulsion, unavailable gears, abnormal shifting, or loss of vehicle mobility. Which it did in the middle of a airline hwy in baton rouge, La I am requesting that NHTSA review this failure and determine whether similar transmission/clutch failures are occurring in other 2022 Ford Bronco Sport vehicles equipped with the 8F35 transmission and whether this represents a broader safety defect. Ford has previously issued Customer Satisfaction Program 22B38 involving certain 2022 Bronco Sport vehicles equipped with the 8F35 transmission. That program described a manufacturing issue involving a transmission clutch component and a potential long-term durability concern. I understand that my vehicle has not been confirmed to be included in that program, and I am not claiming that it caused my failure. I am providing this information because of the similarity to the clutch-related warning and subsequent internal transmission failure diagnosed in my vehicle.

TRANSACTION FRAUD & SYSTEM BYPASS:The vehicle was purchased from an authorized franchise dealer in January 2026. Following an investigation, it was discovered that the dealership's finance desk executed a "split-paperwork" scheme to override an automated delivery compliance hold. The dealership utilized my actual 2.0L Badlands VIN on banking documents, but electronically transmitted a completely different, lower-trim 1.5L engine VIN to my insurer (USAA) to issue a clean delivery binder. This intentional data manipulation was used to knowingly bypass active safety recall alerts.SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:In March 2026, while traveling on Hands Mill Road, the front suspension suffered an unexplained, catastrophic failure, resulting in an immediate, total loss of steering control. The vehicle veered off the roadway and impacted a concrete barrier at high velocity. The mechanics of this failure exactly mirror the structural anomalies detailed in federal NHTSA Recall 26V340000 (Ford Recall 26S36) regarding lower control arm ball joint separation.CRITICAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM FAILURE:During the high-velocity impact, the primary occupant safety restraint systems completely failed to perform. The driver’s side seatbelt failed to lock, and zero front or side airbags deployed. This total safety mechanism failure directly resulted in a severe Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and permanent new-onset seizures, confirmed via clinical EEG by the Veterans Affairs (VA) hospital and currently managed via Keppra 3x/day.FORENSIC EVIDENCE PRESERVATION:High-definition video evidence exists, captured 10 days prior to the crash, documenting the seatbelt retractor in a pre-existing state of mechanical failure (dangling/failing to recoil). The vehicle has undergone only minor exterior cosmetic repairs; the failed suspension components, broken seatbelt modules, and un-deployed airbag sensors remain fully intact and forensically preserved as physical evidence inside my garage for immediate federal safety ins
has been 1 year since recall was initiated for the fuel cap crack with no recourse. we do not feel safe waiting longer for this fix and would request compensation from ford to sell the car.
There have been no issues, however it has been a year with no parts available and this sounds like a major potential safety concern if it could start a fire.

The failure mileage was approximately 37,000.
I've had a Blindspot warning light alert, told by dealership this is an electrical issue, after a web search, I see this is a common and known issue for Ford, yet no recall has been issued. I also have another know, common powertrain issue with my rear differential. The vehicle makes noise when turning, unstable when driving. The vehicle is less than 5yrs old and under 60k miles. Both issues are safety issues and could cause an electrical fires or vehicle stalling. I am scheduled for a 2nd inspection on 7/31 and hopefully repair.

Vehicle developed a hum when accelerating on July 5, 2026. Made an appointment with the dealership to have it diagnosed. They could not get me in until July 16, 2026. On July 15, 2026, the vehicle went into limp mode and had to be driven at an unsafe speed to the dealership to diagnose and repair the issue. There are 81,000 miles on the vehicle. The issue turned out to be a cracked catalytic converter. The catalytic converter had previous been replaced in August 2025 due to the same issue at 67,000 miles.
Vehicle was parked in a parking lot. When starting the vehicle and trying to put it into reverse, it would not backup. Vehicle had to be towed to the dealership. The transmission had gears stripped and was due to a failure of the shift module of the vehicle. The vehicle had under 67,000 miles on it. There were no issues with the shift module or transmission up until this point.
