Complete power steering loss while on the highway. When resetting the car, the issue is resolved only to have power steering fail moments later

Body 1

I was driving when my power steering suddenly failed while the vehicle was in motion. I pulled into a plaza, turned off the vehicle, and after restarting it the power steering appeared to function normally again. The component that malfunctioned appears to be the power steering system, and this component along with the vehicle itself is available for inspection upon request. When the failure occurred, steering the vehicle became significantly more difficult, which created a safety risk for myself, my passenger in the vehicle, and others on the road because it reduced my ability to safely control and maneuver the vehicle. At this time, the issue has not yet been reproduced or formally confirmed by a dealer or independent service center. The vehicle and component have not yet been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or any other parties regarding this issue. Prior to the failure, I did not notice any warning lamps, warning messages, or other symptoms related to the power steering system.

The electric power steering ceases to work, making it near impossible to steer or control the vehicle also, the power steering light and various other lights light up on the dash this is the intermittent reoccurring problem. The only way to remedy it at the time is to stop somewhere. Shut the vehicle off for a few minutes and then restart it. I'll put in today's date for the date that you're asking for but it happens all the time.

Lane keep assist was off, got an error message "check lane departure warning system" and seemed to lose power steering. I was on the interstate switching lanes. Any loss of power steering is a safety risk.

After getting new tires the Blind Spot Warning gives off false warnings. I have even had the sensor replaced and the issue still occurs. Many people have reported this issue when they change to winter tires. The issue will the go away when they return back to the factory tires. This is a safety issue due to having to turn off the BSW in order to no constantly have the alarm go off when changing lanes or taking a turn.

When using tires other than the OEM tires the Blind Spot Warning system malfunctions by giving false negatives and positives. This only happens when using tires other than the OEM tires. Sometimes it will not detect when a vehicle is in my blindspot. Other times it will detect a vehicle when there isn't one and sound an alarm when changing lanes. I have brought it to the dealer but they are not aware that it's a problem and there's been no update from the manufacturer.

Upon swapping out the factory tires for winter tires of the same factory size, the blind spot detection system started showing something in my blind spot all the time. The light won’t go off. It is highly unsafe to have a feature like this that you should be able to trust that doesn’t work.

Body 2

The Blind spot warning system malfunctions and the warning always triggers when a turn signal is activated, even with no vehicle in the blind spot. This occurs more often on the driver side. It also fails to detect vehicles sometimes. One would be better off turning the system off entirely as it stands.

Blind-Spot Collision Avoidance system alerts in error without nonstandard tires and/or wheels installed on the vehicle. Canadian Hyundai TSB 22-32-003 addresses this but the solution is not available to United States service departments.

I just purchased a 2021 Hyundai Veloster N and I’m experiencing issues with my driver side blind spot monitoring system. The blind spot warning automatically turns on when there isn’t any cars around! There are times where it doesn’t come on when a car is in my blind spot! This is a very dangerous issue to have. I rely on my cars safety features to keep me safe. In the case of the blind spot monitoring system I solely rely on it to turn on when another car is in my blind spot and when it doesn’t turn on I assume it’s safe to change lanes when in reality a car could be sitting in my blind spot. I’ve come close to getting into multiple accidents now because of this faulty blind spot system. I have also talked to thousands of other 2021 Hyundai Veloster N owners who all claim to be experiencing the same issues! Please get Hyundai to start a recall on their blind spot monitoring system ASAP as lives are at stake!

After changing the stock tires to all season using the stock rims, the car started giving false positive blind spot warnings on the passenger side and sometimes driver srde. This affect the use of such security feature as is not reliable anymore.

Blind Spot Monitor System works when not intended to. Changed factory spec wheels and tires with aftermarket wheel and tires with the same specs. BSD sometimes won't work, will work sometimes when its not supposed to, i. E. No car behind you or driving in a single lane.
