Electrical wiring mess with air for air or heating up I was trying to make it work while driving and then all of suddenly dashboard light went out, car slowed down and stopped. Turned the car off then turned back on dashboard light wouldn't work, windshield wipers stop working. Got stuck middle of nowhere after I pulled over to check with the car won't turn back on till fuse change and engine start working again after put in mismatch fuse box supposed to match but it different fuse for fuse box
The ignition is faulty. My ignition allows my radio to turn on randomly. I could have the car off, I'm not in it at all. If I get inside to go somewhere and the radio is already on before I put the key in. Most times it's not a big deal. The car starts and I go about my business. Recently I've been experiencing needing to get a jump because the battery gets run down over the radio being on. When I'm inside the car and it's running I'm able to pull the key completely out of the ignition and the car stays running until I put my key in and turn it to the off position. I've gotten the recall cards since I bought the car 5 years ago. On the card it lists the cause as "unintended ignition key rotation". I scheduled a appointment for this to get fixed. Low and behold they cut 2 keys for me and that's it! I can make the car available for inspection at any time requested in advance.
4 YEARS AFTER I BOUGHT MY GRAND AM 2000 I WAS IN AN ACCIDENT AND MY AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY I DIDNT KNOW THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THAT, ANY WAY RECENTLY I HAD TO REPLACE THE SWITCH IGNITION BECAUSE THE KEY GOT STUCK AND COULDNT GET OIT OUT. THEN JUST LAST WEEK THE CAR WOULD NOT START AND IT WAS THE FAULTY IGNITION SWITCH I PAID $380.00 OUT OF NY POCKET AND I WANT A REFUND BECAUSE THERE IS A RECALL 140350 FOR THE IGNITION SWITCH
WHEN DRIVING MY VEHICLE IT WILL CONSTANTLY DIE WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND I'M UNSURE OF WHAT THE PROBLEM IS AND IT'S STARTING TO CAUSE VERY MANY ISSUES AND POSSIBLY LEADING TO A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. IT'S BEEN DOING THIS SINCE MONDAY SEPTEMBER 23,2019 AND HAS BEEN DOING IT ALL WEEK EVERY TIME I DRIVE MULTIPLE TIMES WHILE I'M DRIVING.
IGNITION SWITCH WILL NOT TURN THE SWITCH OVER THE DING DING COME HOME WHILE KEY IN THE SWITCH BUT JUST STOP ALL OF A SUDDEN WENT TO GROCERY COME BACK OUT AND THE SWITCH WOULD NOT CRANK THE CAR AT ALL IT WAS STATIONARY
THIS DEFECT CAN AFFECT THE SAFE OPERATION OF THE AIRBAG SYSTEM. UNTIL THIS RECALL IS PERFORMED, CUSTOMERS SHOULD REMOVE ALL ITEMS FROM THEIR KEY RINGS, LEAVING ONLY THE IGNITION KEY. THE KEY FOB (IF APPLICABLE), SHOULD ALSO BE REMOVED FROM THE KEY RING. GENERAL MOTORS LLC (GM) NOTIFIED THE AGENCY ON JULY 3, 2014, THAT THEY ARE RECALLING 5,877,718 MODEL YEAR 2000-2005 CHEVROLET IMPALA AND MONTE CARLO, 1997-2003 CHEVROLET MALIBU, 2004-2005 MALIBU CLASSIC, 1999-2004 OLDSMOBILE ALERO, 1998-2002 OLDSMOBILE INTRIGUE, 1999-2005 PONTIAC GRAND AM AND 2004-2008 PONTIAC GRAND PRIX VEHICLES. IN THESE MODELS, THE WEIGHT ON THE KEY RING AND/OR ROAD CONDITIONS OR SOME OTHER JARRING EVENT MAY CAUSE THE IGNITION SWITCH TO MOVE OUT OF THE RUN POSITION, TURNING OFF THE ENGINE.
MY TURN SIGNALS ARE NO LONGER WORKING. I FOUND THAT IF I PUSHED THE HAZARDS BUTTON, IT WOULD MAKE THE TURN SIGNALS WORK. HIS WORKED FOR A WHILE (ABOUT 6 MONTHS) BUT NOW I DO NOT HAVE FUNCTIONING HAZARD LIGHTS OR TURN SIGNALS. THIS HAPPENED WHILE I WAS DRIVING POSING A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.
REPLACED RECALL IGNITION SWITCH HAD TO ALWAYS JIGGLE KEY AFTER THAT. 2 YEARS LATER GETTING WORSE SHUTS OFF BY SELF PERIODUCALLY IGNITION SWITCH NEVER REPLACED RIGHT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 PONTIAC GRAND AM. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, THE VEHICLE LOST POWER. THE DRIVER LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND CRASHED INTO A DITCH. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. NONE OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED SOME ACHES AND PAINS THAT DID NOT REQUIRE MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS DAMAGED, BUT THE DRIVER WAS ABLE TO DRIVE IT TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT DID NOT RECEIVE NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 03V327000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING) AND 14V400000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 154,000. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.

WE ONE DAY CAME OUT TO OUR CAR TO START IT AND GET READY TO LEAVE FOR THE DAY AND WE HAD NO HAZARDS OUR BLINKERS. THEY DO NOT WORK AT ALL. SO WE CHECKED THE FUSES AND BULBS AND STUFF AND THEY ARE ALL FINE. THE BLINKERS AND HAZARDS DON'T EVEN WORK ON THE INSIDE.
THE HAZARD LIGHTS AND TURN SIGNAL WON'T BLINK IT WAS TURNING WHEN THIS HAPPENED.
REPLACED PASSLOCK CYLINDER BECAUSE SECURITY LIGHT WOULD TURN ON AND UNABLE TO START VEHICLE, ENGINE WANTED TO TURN OFF WHEN DRIVING , AFTER REPLACEMENT, HAD TO REPLACE LOW COOLANT SENSOR, NOW RADIO, CLOCK, AND WIPERS DON'T WORK AND CAR IS WANTING TO STALL WHILE DRIVING, BATTERY LIGHT COMES ON AND HAVE TO PUT ON PARK AT A LIGHT AND PRESS THE GAS SO IT WON'T STALL . *TR

IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE IGNITION SWITCH NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. IN ADDITION, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START WHEN PROMPTED AND THE SECURITY LIGHT FLASHED ONCE AGAIN. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE TURN SIGNALS STOPPED WORKING. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 147,000.
THIS QUESTION SHOULD BE "TELL US WHAT HAPPENS". MY DIRECTIONAL LEVERS AND LIGHTING TO SIGNAL RIGHT OR LEFT DOES NOT WORK MOST OF THE TIME. THE LIGHT GOES ON BUT IT DOESN'T BLINK AT ALL. I WOULD SAY THIS IS A PROBLEM 97% OF THE TIME. THIS MAY ALSO HAPPEN WITH MY HAZARD LIGHTS. I UNDERSTAND UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER THAT SHE WAS A RECALL IN 2003, BUT MY CAR WAS NEVER RECALLED UNDER MY VIN NUMBER. THIS HAPPENS EITHER WHEN THE CAR IS IN MOTION OR WHEN IT IS STILL. IT HAPPENS ON CITY STREETS, AND HIGHWAYS AND EVEN IN MY DRIVEWAY. THIS IS DEFINITELY A SAFETY ISSUE. I HAVE ALSO HAD THE FLASHERS CLEANED AND THE FLASHER RELAY REPLACED BY MY MECHANIC.
