My car was parked for 2hrs 30 min. And I came to my car to it being burnt from under the passenger seat. Door panel is damaged and window is shattered and burnt. Roof is burnt.I think it was due to the electrical wiring from under the passenger seat.

The contact owns a 2006 Cadillac SRX. The contact stated that he noticed that oil was leaking on the garage floor. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed that the oil-sending unit needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired five times, but the failure persisted. The dealer declined to repair the vehicle again. The manufacturer was contacted and informed of the failure but provided no additional assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 68,000.
OIL SENSOR UNIT FAILURE CAUSING ENGINE TO LOSE OIL. a REALPROBLEM.
*The chest clip failed. At the beginning, we had a very hard time unlatching the chest clip to where we thought we needed to cut it. Later, the chest clip started to become very loose to where my son could undo it by just touching it, then one evening it did not latch on at all. *It is available for inspection upon request. *The car seat has not been inspected by anyone. The child seat is temporarily in my home until it is in the clear to be discarded after the recall. I have not notified Maxi Cosi.
2006 Cadillac SRX turn signals burn out within months or replacement. I made 2 videos of me fixing it, put on YouTube with over 35, 000 views. That must mean there are lots of folks with this problem that don't know where to report it. While driving, the indicator flashes a bit faster than it should - the only clue it isn't working. You think other drivers know your intentions and they don't. This is dangerous. Mechanics have to pull the bumper, a bit of work, and want over $300 to change the bulb. Over and over again. This is the 5th time in 3 years. 2nd problem is the "Stability System" - well, I'm not driving on ice, have never needed such a thing. This one nearly cause me to crash into a curb or parked car as I was making a left hand turn in our residential neighborhood at what 15 mph? Suddenly the wheel locked, tires locked and sent me screeching dangerously close to that parked car. It does have a warning, "Service Stability System" but the dealer will want a lot for that, too. So I've resorted to pushing the Disable button on the console until it says, "Stability System Off" then I can drive safely. I have not had this inspected. Everything that gets fixed on this Cadillac seems to break again.

WHEN I TURN ON THE CAR THE GAS GAUGE AND THE TEMP GAUGE DO NOT MOVE. THE SECURITY AND NO TRACTION WARNING LIGHTS STAY ON. WHEN I DRIVE THE CAR ON THE STREET STEERING IS SLUGGISH, THE TRANS RPMS ARE HIGH, SOMETIMES THE CAR GOES TO THE LEFT WHILE DRIVING. ON THE RADIO THERE IT READS ANTI THEFT SYSTEM HIT BUTTON TO CLEAR. WHEN I TURN OFF THE CAR THE KEY WILL NOT COME OUT OF IGNITION AND I HAVE TO USE SCREWDRIVER TO PUSH A BUTTON IN STEERING COLUMN TO RELEASE IT. ONE WEEK EVERYTHING WORKED GREAT, NO WARNING LIGHTS, GAUGES WORKED, NO HIGH RPMS ON TRANS AND STEERING WAS FINE AND THE KEY CAME OUT OF THE IGNITION AND NOTHING ON RADIO ABOUT ANTI THEFT SYS. BUT EVERYTHING IS NOT WORKING AGAIN AND NOW ENGINE LIGHT IS ON.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE CONTACT RESEARCHED THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT IT WAS DUE TO THE TRANSFER CASE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 165,000.
VEHICLE STUTTERS LIKE IT IS TRYING TO TURN OFF OR THE WHEELS ARE CATCHING ON SOMETHING. THIS HAPPENS WHEN FIRST PULLING OUT AND SOMETIMES WHEN DRIVING. MOSTLY HAPPENS AFTER MAKING A U TURN. (DOES NOT MATTER IF THE TURN IS TIGHT OR NOT). CAR HESITATES AND THEN STRAIGHTENS ITSELF OUT. THIS IS DANGEROUS AND HARD TO FIGURE OUT. THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED I HAD PULLED INTO TRAFFIC IN FRONT OF A BIG TRUCK IF THERE HADN'T BEEN A TURN LANE FOR ME TO GET INTO HE WOULD HAVE RUN ME OVER. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR 3-4 MONTHS NOT. THE STABILITY CONTROL SERVICE JUST CAME UP TODAY. THERE ARE NOT WARNINGS OTHERWISE.

ABOUT 3YEARS AGO THE DRYSHAFT WENT BAD ON MY 2006 SRX.I ASKED THE DEALERSHIPS SERVICE MANAGER WAS IT A RECALL ON THE PART AND HE SAID "NO."I SEARCH FOR MONTHS AFTER DRIVING MY CAR WITH THE BAD RIDE FROM THE BAD PART AND BEING LIMITED FOR OVER 2YRS WITH NOT KNOWING, I FINALLY GOT A USED DRYSHAFT FOR MY CAR AND NOW ABOUT 6 MONTHS LATER ON WEDNESDAY 8/8/18, I PULL OFF AT THE LIGHT AND IT FEELS LIGHT SOMETHING KNOCK SOMETHING UNDERNEATH MY CAR.I GET ON THE HIGHWAY AND THIS LOUD NOISE HAPPENS. THE NEXT DAY I TAKE IT TO MEINEKE AND THIS ONE IS GONE BAD. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.

WHILE DRIVING AT A VERY SLOW SPEED THE CAR TRACKING SYSTEM LIGHT COMES ON AND THE CAR LOST THE ABILITY TO ACCELERATE. I WAS IN THE MEDIUM OF A VERY BUSY HIGHWAY AND ALMOST HAD AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE THE MORE I PUSH ON THE ACCELERATOR THE CAR WOULD NOT GO ANY FASTER. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND I AM ALMOST AFRAID TO DRIVE MY VEHICLE. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE SHOP FOR THIS PROBLEM AND THEY HAD NO IDEA WHY THIS WAS HAPPENING. I HAVE TO BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN AT A STOP SIGN GETTING READY TO TAKE OFF BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW IF THE CAR WILL ACCELERATE OR NOT.
