Vehicle Shipped in Unsafe Driving Condition I purchased this vehicle from Cars2us with a clear understanding that the vehicle was in good working order. I paid $500 for shipping along with $3,000 cash down. I purchased it from out of state so I had to have the vehicle shipped to my work site. When I received the vehicle off the trailer, it was borderline underivable due to the rack and pinion and power steering system being faulty. I immediately contacted the dealer and he agreed to have it repaired and advised me to “take it to a mechanic you trust”! I did so and the mechanic called me to inform me that the manager of the dealership tried to convince him to put junkyard parts on the vehicle to fix it. The mechanic was infuriated and insulted by this and advised me to contact an attorney. I paid the full amount for the repairs totaling over $2,000 because he did a job he was asked to do and rightly deserved to be paid for doing so. The mechanic and I tried multiple times to contact him for repayment and he has not paid nor responded. I have all of our conversations and will happily attach them to this email. I’m furious because the vehicle was knowingly shipped to me in an extremely dangerous condition and I was forced to drive it to my house 13 miles away as well as the mechanic shop another 6 miles. I emailed the Attorney General of Virginia and reported the incident. It’s my goal to protect other customers from experiencing this kind of behavior and treatment. If you could please help me out in any way it would be greatly appreciated. Best Regards.

I was in an accident with a friend in [XXX] We weren't doing over 30 to 35 miles per hour when we hit a deer. All I could remember was yelling because my wrist was broken and I had bone coming out from the air bags that deployed on my side of the car. The wind shield was cracked because of this as well. My friend had to jump out of the car to disconnect the battery because the car would not shut off or stop moving. The brake and parking brake was used but couldn't get it to stop. My friend had to crawl out the side window by them to let me out of the car because neither door opened to let us out. My friend was hurt as well but not as bad as my wrist. The er doctor told me since my wrist never healed or would ever heal correctly. That iwould have to go see a hand specialist to do surgery and put pins in but wasn't a guarantee fix. Till this day I have trouble working if it requires me to pick up heavy things with that hand because I just feel the pain and how it feels like it wants to come apart. This happened in bandera Texas on [XXX]. I did make a police report and even claimed it on my insurance. I was told the car was totaled due to cost of the air bags being deployed. I have not reported to anyone because people don't think it is a safety issue. So I'm still have debit from this incident that I don't want anyone to have to go through what I have since that day. I was seen at beorne Methodist er in beorne texas. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The engine timing is wrong. The camshaft and the reluctor misalign and cause the engine to loose performance. The problem was diagnosed by a Chevrolet dealership because of the illuminated "check engine" light. This seems to be a major historical issue with these type engines produced by Chevrolet. The engine was replaced.

My 2010 camaro has the 3.6 v6 engine in it. I had no warning lights or issues with the car. I got in my car and started to drive on a highway the engine exploded on me and I swerved out of control luckily being able to stop the car on the right side of the road. I had the car towed to my house where it sat for months unable to be driven. I have been doing more and more research trying to figure out why it blew up. Me and my passenger could have died that day with how badly the force of the engine through the car out of control. And the chunks of steel that flew from under my car almost killed 2 kids in a car behind me. And upon talking to an associate who is a gm certified mechanic but he doesn't work for a dealership his diagnosis was the timing chain went bad prematurely and snapped and set off a chain reaction making the motor explode. During my time researching I have discovered this issue is already known by general motors for this engine having premature timing chain wear down. I have pictures of other 2010 camaro owners complaints of this issue. I also am aware gm has faced several class action law suits due to this issue. They put a recall out on the engine but specific vin numbers. So when I called gm customer service asking why I can't get my car repaired and my engine replaced they told me it was due to not being a vin number they included in the recalls even though they are aware it is the same engine. The recall should be for all vin numbers for this engine. My safety as well as others safety was put at risk for a known defect. This issue could happen to anyone with this engine and people could be killed due to it and those that survive the situation when it arises get left without a working vehicle. Now my car sits in my driveway without an engine. There should be a mass recall for all the engines. The headlight assembly has a reflective plate and has a manufactures defect that is a safety hazard. The reflective plate becomes yellow due to the heat of the HID light bulbs and causes the low beam lights to become dim and not put out the required output for safety and visibility. This part can not be replaced individually and the whole headlight assembly has to be replaced at a cost of $1200 per each side. Changing out the HID bulb with a comparable one does not increase the visibility either. I’ve taken my car to the dealership and have it on record what is wrong with it and that there is no other reason for the dim headlight other than that one defective piece. The visibility is awful.

January 2023.. Structural Crack in the air bag dash location/passenger side...Looking at it more closely the crack continues in a perfect oval pattern. As of yet the car component in question has not been inspect by a dealer or others. When sitting back in the front passenger seat i can see that the dash is humped up in just that area..the oval area. This oval area is just above the word air bag on the face of the dash. My concern is that if this is the airbag it could deploy and injury myself and others and cause a serious accident. the car has approximately 74,000 miles on it

My name is Kenneth Brown 'Kenny', and I purchased my 2010 Chevy Camaro 1LT 3.6L V6 from Ron Tonkin Chevrolet here in Portland, Oregon right off of their lot brand new. Now on the the bigger issue that has never been addressed to this day...the faulty 3.6L V6 motor. If you were to look at the wrecking yards across the country, you will find many 2010 & some early 2011 Camaro's with dead motors well before 75k miles, because my motor went out at 69K miles in 2017. McLaughlin Chevrolet the Dealership that replaced my motor stated that "They don't replace motors with only 69k miles on them", but they did, and that wouldn't be the last motor replacement they would do on the same car! Two weeks before the warranty expired on the replacement motor in September 2020 with 102,233 miles, McLaughlin Chevrolet replaced the GM vendor replacement motor with what is currently in my car. So is it normal to have had (3) OEM GM motors in one car with just 102k miles? There is a more serious/dangerous underlining issue here that GM, or anyone will acknowledge, and that is, just before the two previous motors went out, there was this engine warning light that has popped up each time, and that was the "Engine Power is Reduced". And where the safety concern lies is when this engine warning light comes on, it reduces your engine power almost down to a complete stop. How wonderful it is when your in heave traffic doing 45mph to 50mph and you loose engine power in heavy traffic! Now GM has attributed the engine warning light to a Timing belt issue, and this has been an issue since 2010. When this warning light comes on, not only is the engine power reduced, the bigger issue is that the power steering is reduced drastically. If you are not a seasoned driver that has driven a vehicle that has no power steering in it, then it becomes a serious issue...RIGHT, especially when your in heave traffic doing 45 to 50mph, because it put me right into the retaining cement barrier on the highway

My 2010 Chevy Camaro has a check engine light for a code P0008 which is an engine preformace bank 1 code. It is affecting my acceleration. I have noticed with other General Motors vehicles that have the 3.6L V6 have thrown this code for a timing chain issue around 100,000 miles and I belive other makes and models have been recalled for this issue and was concerned that it could be unsafe. I also wanted to know why this has not already been recalled on this make and model but has on others. If you could look in to this that would be great. Thank you

Evaporative emisions vent valve selenoid malfunctions. Parts has manufacturing deffect and fails regularly. It’s Location makes it very complex and expensive to repair. This malfunction disables the remote start which is, in my case, a safety issue. The cost to fix is prohibitive an users postpone it or disregard it. This well known issue among owner of this model, dealers and mechanics.it does trigger a “check engine light.

TPMS SYSTEM AND REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY FAILS TO OPERATE CORRECTLY AFTER INSTALLING NEW TIRES. DEALER WAS UNABLE TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM EVEN WITH A CHANGE TO THE KEYLESS ENTRY MODULE. GM REPORTS THAT SOME TIRES HAVE TOO MUCH STEEL IN THE BELTS CAUSING THE SIGNALS TO BE BLOCKED OR BE INTERMITTENT WHICH CAN CAUSE DRIVERS TO DRIVE ON UNDER INFLATED TIRES. FAILURE OCCURS IN ANY TYPE OF DRIVING. GM NEEDS TO REPLACE THE SENSORS WITH ONES THAT PROVIDE A STRONGER SIGNAL TO COMPLY WITH THE TREAD ACT.
