The headlight want come on and tail light switches Is messed up it want work and bulbs and all fuzes good one day they just stopped working
There is a recall for my year of Colorado but not my vin. The recall is for 04-09 Colorado trucks for a defective brake light switch. Defective switch=no brake lights. My 2007 Colorado brake light switch is defective, therefore I have no brake lights. The switch has been tested and found to be defective, but a search of my vin shows no recalls. It's obvious that my vehicle and likely many more vehicles are effected than what are covered under this recall.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET COLORADO EQUIPPED WITH GENERAL TIRES, TIRE LINE: GRABBER AT/2, TIRE SIZE: 265/70/R15, DOT NUMBER: A3BM3NH2617E40240029. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THERE WAS A BLOWOUT OF THE DRIVER'S SIDE REAR TIRE. THE BLOWOUT CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO TURN SHARPLY LEFT, SPIN AROUND TWICE, AND CRASHED WITH ONCOMING VEHICLES COMING FROM BEHIND. EMERGENCY SERVICES WERE CALLED OUT TO THE SCENE OF THE CRASH. THERE WERE NO INJURIES SUSTAINED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE TIRE WAS A REPLACEMENT TIRE. NEITHER THE TIRE MANUFACTURER NOR THE VEHICLE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE ON THE TIRE WAS 14,000.

NEITHER THE DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 91,000.

MY 2007 CHEVROLET COLORADO LS 4 CYLINDER 2.9 LITRE HAS ALWAYS RANDOMLY WON'T START. I RESEARCHED THIS AND EVERY YEAR OF THE COLORADO HAS HAD THIS ISSUE OF RANDOMLY NOT STARTING, COUNTLESS DOLLARS HAVE BEEN SPENT TRYING TO FIGURE IT OUT, CHEVROLET WILL NOT SAY IT IS AN ISSUE AND IT IS A HUGE ISSUE FOR ALMOST EVERY SINGLE YEAR. PASSLOCK ISSUE? JUST COSTED ME 266.00 AT THE CHEV GARAGE AND MY TRUCK STILL IS STRUGGLING TO START, BEEN TOLD STARTER AND BATTERY ARE FINE. ALTERNATOR VOLTAGE REGULATOR ARE FINE. LEMON PLEASE RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE IT'S SO UNFAIR TO US CONSUMERS TO WASTE MONEY TRYING TO FIGURE OUT A FAULTY DESIGN IN A VEHICLE. GO ON YOU TUBE, COUNTLESS PEOPLE SHARE THE SAME ISSUE. VEHICLE SAT IDLE FOR A FEW YEARS BEFORE MY OWNERSHIP, THEN WAS IN CONSTANT MOTION ON HIGHWAYS AND CITY STREETS FOR 2 YEARS IN MY POSSESSION. UNSURE HOW AN 11 YEAR OLD VEHICLE COULD HAVE THIS HAPPEN, BUT AT SOME POINT THE VEHICLE DEVELOPED 2 LARGE CRACKS IN THE FRAME (ONE ON THE DRIVE SIDE AND ONE OF THE PASSENGER SIDE, BOTH JUST BEHIND THE DOORS OF THEIR RESPECTIVE SIDES OF THE VEHICLE) CAUSING THE BED OF THE TRUCK TO LEAN INTO THE CAB OF THE TRUCK. PICTURES INCLUDED IN THIS POST ARE OF THE BED LEANING INTO THE CAN, AND ONE PICTURE AT THE WORST VISIBLE ANGLE OF THE CRACK ON EACH SIDE OF THE VEHICLE'S FRAME.

THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 09V310000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 77,000.

PASSLOCK SECURITY SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONS AND RANDOMLY DOES NOT LET YOU START YOUR VEHICLE FOR TEN MINUTES LEAVING YOU STRANDED. SOMETIMES IT WILL DO IT CONTINUALLY. HAVE HAD TO WAIT AS LONG AS 80 MINUTES TO START.

THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE. *TT CONTACT STATED THE NUMBER 4 CYLINDER VALVE BROKE IN TWO PLACES AND THE NUMBER 2 WAS DAMAGED. *TT
TRUCK STARTS FINE THEN OUT OF THE BLUE IT WILL NOT START, CALLED AAA BY THE TIME THEY GOT THERE, TRUCK STARTED, HAD TO CANCEL AAA THREE DIFFERENT TIMES, TOO ME IT ACTS LIKE THE FUEL FILTER HAS A CLOG, BUT YET IT STARTS MOST OF THE TIME. NOW I SEE I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE DEALING WITH THIS.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED DUE TO THE REPAIR FEES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THEY WOULD NOT REPAIR THE VEHICLE AND THAT HE NEEDED TO PAY THE FEE FOR THE REPAIR.
