Remedy
Vantage has notified owners, instructing them to contact Freedman for a repair kit, free of charge. The recall began March 25, 2019. Owners may contact Freedman customer service at 1-800-443-4540.

Have owned this truck for a couple of years and have been enduring the "Death Wobble" over the local train tracks, but I am always able to control my speed. But the other day while traveling down the interstate, I hit a pothole and truck was shaking until brought the truck to a stop. Luckily I was able to get off the road, but this event could have been much worse. Apparently this is a known problem, and it is a shame that the manufacturer has not fixed this obvious safety issue.
Rear fuel tank strap broke on 6/20/2022. Fuel tank hit ground. Very dangerous cant believe i am only one and this hasnt been recalled.
Truck randomly has the notorious death wobble when going over bumps. It shakes violently and i have to slow down or stop. Tried to have it diagnosed by mechanic several times with no outcome, this is when I researched and found out a lot of ford trucks have this issue. Is it a severe safety issue and with the outrageous price of trucks, I can not buy a new one. Ford should have recalled this a long time ago
The contact owns a 2007 Ford F-250. The contact stated that the passenger’s and driver’s side rear door locking mechanisms were faulty and the doors could no longer be opened. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer was contacted regarding the failure. The manufacturer was not yet notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 53,000.
On our most recent trip, our Ford truck a 2007 F250 model experienced what is called the death wobble, where the front shakes violently. Which occurs in speeds of 70 or higher, when it hits a bump the front end shakes violently. It has happened in the past when we were on vacation. The dealer could not find the cause. It is now at the dealer again, to see what can be done. There is a known class action suit filed in 2019. For Ford F250 & F350 models from 2005 to 2019. Ford knew about it but did not inform any owners. We are wanting to get this on record so you can monitor Ford to see what they are doing about it. It is a shame that people pay big bucks for the trucks and Ford won't tell owners about it or find a true fix. We are also going to file on the class action suit that is out there. INSTRUMENT PANEL LOSES POWER. NO GUAGES WORK WHEN POWER IS LOST. NO TACH OR SPEEDOMETER, ELECTRIC WINDOWS ALSO DO NOT WORK. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE IF I CANT DETERMINE HOW FAST I AM GOING.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD F-250. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AND MAKING A LEFT TURN, THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME DIFFICULT TO TURN. THERE WAS NO WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT DROVE THE VEHICLE TO HIS RESIDENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND THE POWER STEERING PUMP WAS REPLACED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED TWICE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TWICE TO SOUR LAKE FORD LOCATED AT 190 HWY 105 E, SOUR LAKE, TX 77659, (409) 287-3583, TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE POWER STEERING PUMP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 162,823.
THE VEHICLE SHAKES VIOLENTLY ON THE ROAD WHEN I GO OVER A BUMP WHEN TRAVELING AT 65MPH OR HIGHER. I HAVE TO SLOW DOWN TO 50MPH OR BELOW TO GET IT TO SUBSIDE. *TR
BRAKE BOOSTER FEED LINE CAME OFF AT INTAKE . I HAD NO POWER BRAKES JUST A HARD BRAKE PEDAL WHEN I WAS STOPPING TO PULL ON TO THE HIGHWAY. HAD TO PUSH PEDAL REAL HARD TO STOP. I FEEL IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN RECALL #08S05 THAT I READ WAS IN 2008 .

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BED OF THE VEHICLE COULD UNEXPECTEDLY DETACH BECAUSE IT WAS LOOSE AND PARTS OF THE METAL WERE RUBBING OFF. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT THE BED WAS PUSHING DOWN INTO THE FRAME. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 75,000.
FRONT END SHIMMER WHEN CROSSING OVER BAD ROAD SPOTS. THE SHAKING CAN BE VERY BAD ALMOST LOSE CONTROL.
1) FAULTY HEAD BOLTS REPAIR WAS OVER $6000 INVOLVED GASKETS, CRACKED HEADS, BOLTS, UPDATES AND UPGRADES. 2) DEATH WOBBLE FRONT END ISSUES (MINE ARE FORTUNATELY OCCURRING AT AT LOW SPEEDS) HOWEVER THE WOBBLE HAS CAUSED MANY FRONT END AND STEERING COMPONENTS TO WEAR OUT PREMATURELY. WOBBLE KICKS IN AFTER SHARP TURNS AND WHEEL WILL NOT RETURN TO CENTER AND WHEN FORCED BACK TO CENTER IT WILL WANDER AND HUNT FOR CENTER. USUALLY UP TILL 20-25MPH THEN SELF CORRECTS.
I HAD JUST WASHED MY TRUCK THE DAY BEFORE AND WHEN I CLEANED THE WHEELS THERE WERE NO ISSUES AND THEN THE FOLLOWING DAY AFTER DROPPING MY KIDS OFF AT SCHOOL I NOTICED A CRACK IN MY BACK DRIVER 20" CHROME OEM RIM THAT WENT FROM ONE SPOKE TO THE OTHER ABOUT A INCH FROM THE VALVE STEM THERE IS NO ROAD RASH OR DAMAGE TO THE RIM TO CAUSE IT TO CRACK AND AFTER SEEING IT I GOOGLED IT AND IT SEEMS TO BE A COMMEN ISSUES AND SHOULD BE FELT WITH ITS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE NOT ONLY FOR THE PERSONS IN THE VEHICLE BUT ALSO FOR THE SURROUNDING MOTORISTS AND I CONTACTED FORD ABOUT THE ISSUES AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY DON'T CARE AND WILL NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT I HAVE PHOTOS THAT CAN BE SENT AND ALSO HAVE THE RIM THAT I THINK SHOULD BE TESTED SO THAT A RECALL CAN HAPPEN TO GET THIS SAFETY ISSUE FIXED BEFORE SOMEONE IS HURT OR KILLED BECAUSE OF IT
SPEEDOMETER STARTED MAL FUNCTION. CREATING A HYPER SPEED - INSTEAD OF 25 MPH - WAS READING 60 MPH.
THIS VEHICLE WAS TOWED INTO OUR SHOP BECAUSE IT WOULD NOT START. WE INSTALLED A NEW STARTER AND LEFT IT OVER NIGHT IN THE STALL WHEN WE CAME BACK IN THE MORNING IT HAD ATTEMPTED TO START ITS SELF AND HAD DRIVEN THROUGH THE DOOR AND OUT ON TO THE LOT WEDGEING ITSELF IN THE NEW CARS. THIS TRUCK IS A STANDARD TRANSMISSION AND WAS LEFT IN GEAR WITH THE KEYS OUT OF THE IGNITION. IF YOU SET THIS TRUCK AND LEAVE IT IT WILL TRAY TO START IT'S SELF. SOME TIMES IT WILL TAKE A DAY OR AS LITTLE AS 10 MINUTES.
BOUCES ALL OVER ROAD SHOCKS ALSO LEAKING FLUID.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD F-250. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 75 MPH, THE VEHICLE VEERED TO THE LEFT AND CRASHED INTO A GUARDRAIL WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE CROSSED THE HIGHWAY INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC AND CRASHED INTO ANOTHER GUARDRAIL. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO MOVE THE VEHICLE AND DISCOVERED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL TURNED AS DESIGNED; HOWEVER, THE WHEELS FAILED TO MOVE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 226,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE STEERING BOX NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE STEERING BOX NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
I'M JUST A LITTLE UPSET THAT FORD WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THIS ISSUE WITH THE 06 AND 07 F250 FUELING ISSUE, I WENT TO ARVIN,CA AT LUNCH TODAY TO PUT GAS IN BECAUSE I TRY TO MAKE SURE WHEN IT GETS TO A HALF OF A TANK I FILL IT UP, IT TOOK ME 17 MINUTES TO PUT IN 13 GALLONS OF GAS, THAT IS SAD AND I HAVE TO PUT IT IN SO SLOW BECAUSE IT WILL NOT LET ME GO ANY FASTER THAT TO ALWAYS OVER FILLS AND GAS COME OUT AROUND THE FUEL NOZZLE, I REALLY CONSIDER THIS A SAFETY ISSUE. ALL I WOULD LIKE IS THEM TO MEET ME HALF WAY I CAN NOT AFFORD TO SPEND OVER A THOUSAND DOLLARS TO FIX THIS ISSUE AND WHEN YOU DO A SEARCH ON THE ISSUE THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE AND THEY WILL NOT DO ANYTHING TO HELP UNLESS YOU SAY SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
