I HAD THE RECALL 172 PERFORMED AT THE HYUNDAI DEALERSHIP ON 07/03/2020, AND 2 WEEKS LATER MY ABS MODULE FAILED ANYWAY DUE TO BRAKE FLUID LEAK INSIDE THE ABS MODULE AND HAD TO BE REPLACED. I CONTACTED HYUNDAI FOR REIMBURSEMENT AND WAS DENIED. OUT OF POCKET $500. WAS ALSO TOLD REPAIR WOULD BE $4000, BUT WAS THEN CHANGED TO $300.

THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER WHO REFERRED HIM TO A HYUNDAI DEALER TO HAVE THE VEHICLE INSPECTED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO LYNNES NISSAN CITY (318 BLOOMFIELD AVE, BLOOMFIELD, NJ 07003) WHERE HE WAS INFORMED THAT THE RECALL REPAIR WAS PERFORMED BACK IN 2013. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT HE WOULD HAVE TO PAY A DIAGNOSTIC FEE TO HAVE THE VEHICLE INSPECTED. AFTER DISCOVERING THAT THE RECALL HAD ALREADY BEEN PERFORMED ON THE VEHICLE PRIOR TO HIM OWNING IT, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE RECALL REMEDY WAS INEFFECTIVE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 87,000.

THE REPAIR WAS STILL PENDING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE UPPER BODY WHILE HOLDING THE DOOR CLOSE BUT MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS NOT PROVIDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED BUT NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 167,000.
