I just purchased the vehicle with the airbag alert on, as well as the seatbelt alert. It seems there’s no recall for this vehicle. Please advise that you should reconsider the limited recalls and include the 2010 Armanda with the “platinum” package.
Hello, On 4.25.25 I took my 2010 Nissan Armada into the Thoroughbred Nissan Dealership in Tucson AZ for the recall on the air bag emblem/cover. They replaced the cover and installed 98510ZQ01C: Kit Service Air bag cover. However my air bag light on the dash is still blinking. So, I googled "2010 nissan armada platinum air bag issues" and found that the AI overview stated: "The 2010 Nissan Armada, including the Platinum trim, has been involved in several recalls related to air bags, including those from Takata inflators. Some issues involve potential ruptures or malfunctions of the inflator module, as well as problems with the driver's air bag cover. " So it appears that there is an air bag inflater issue as well as the emblem/cover issue. Since Thoroughbred Nissan replaced the emblem/cover which was covered under warranty, should they now replace the airbag itself due to issues listed with the Takata air bag inflator? The dealership says that the only recall is on the emblem/resin cover. However Google states: "The 2010 Nissan Armada, including the Platinum trim, has been involved in several recalls related to air bags, including those from Takata inflators. Some issues involve potential ruptures or malfunctions of the inflator module, as well as problems with the driver's air bag cover. " Please let me know if Nissan is recalling my 2010 Takata Airbag as well as the emblem/resin cover so that I can have a working airbag that is safe. Currently airbag light is on and blinking. We bought this Armada used about two years ago and it had about 85,000 miles on it then. On Monday August 26th 2024 my wife came home and as she pulled in to park the brake pedal went to the floor. The passenger side front steer tire inside was covered in brake fluid. I pulled it in to our garage and removed the tire and had her pump the brake pedal to find the fluid loss spot. Upon inspection I discovered the Steer tire had rubbed through the brake hose causing brake fluid loss. I replaced the hose and inspected the driver side to discover it was almost rubbed through to the cords inside the hose. It will be replaced too. I have saved the passenger side hose and will save the driver hose after I replace it. My pictures are of the passenger side front brake hose.
This vehicles fuel control module has caused my children and me safety to put at risk by vehicle breaking down in the middle of traffic and not capable of starting vehicle back up. thie has been confirmed from trusted mechanic.
I bought my vehicle in 2010 Brand New I did not have the vehicle less the 5 years when the volume on the sterring wheel stopped working , then my horn stopped working and someone backen into me, my cruise control does not work sometimes the wheel locks on me turning then the airbag light Pop on and they wanted to charge me hundreds of dollars to fix to and sometimes when I Start the vehicle it will not turn over I have to pull the keyout and try it that way
I had a sudden power lose with no warning while traveling down interstate at 70mph in "fast lane". I had no power and steering the vehicle to safety was a serious challenge. We were almost hit several time as I negotiated my way to the shoulder of the Interstate. I was scary and after almost being struck by passing vehicles, my wife actually got sick to her stomach. After avoiding accident's to pull off shoulder of the road I was not able to get the vehicle started. Upon being towed home I discovered the vehicle ran out of gas, although the gas gauge was showing 1/4 of tank. I went online and found there was a recall for Nissan Armada, 2005-2009 dated 3/18/2010 for the same exact issue (see NHTSA # 10V-074). Nissan did not correct the defect and there are numerous complaints of this dangerous issue with following year models. This issue is seriously dangerous and can lead to serious injury or death and a recall should be mandatory. I called Nissan but they refused to assist with repairs or recall. I had the fuel pump sending unit replaced at my expense and request Nissan reimburse me. This is not an issue due to age or mileage. This is a DESIGN FLAW that is wide spread and Nissan has failed to accept responsibility or notify owners of potential problem. Requesting NHTSA assistance and action to prevent injury or death to other Nissan owners. I also plan to speak with an attorney regarding possibility of a class action suit.

We purchased our 2010 Nissan Armada in April of 2020. We recently took it in for an alignment and was told by the tech that the rear suspension is frozen. He said this is costly to get fixed and that he has done one but would not do another. He suggested we search for recalls as this is not the first one he has seen.
The contact owns a 2010 Nissan Armada. The contact received notification of Manufacturer Communications Number: PC090 (install stepper motors) back in 2011. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer and had the recall remedy completed. The contact stated on 1/23/2022, the actuator door failed to open to allow heat to enter the vehicle. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic and was informed that the front actuator accessory needed to be replaced. The contact called the local dealer and made them aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown. Conducted the recall repair, but that it has failed the test of time apparently. The door to the heater no longer opens and this was what the recall was about. Consumer stated the dealer refused to even look at or service the vehicle as the recall had been done previously.
IN JULY 2017 AND AT 90K MILES , MY 2010 NISSAN ARMADA BEGAN LEAKING EXHAUST FUMES INTO THE PASSENGER CABIN AND THE FUEL ECONOMY DROPPED SIGNIFICANTLY. I TOOK IT TO AN AUTHORIZED NISSAN SERVICE STATION, WHICH CHARGED ME $150 TO DIAGNOSE A CRACKED CATALYTIC CONVERTER EXHAUST MANIFOLD ON BOTH SIDES. THE REPAIR ESTIMATE WAS ABOUT $4,000 TO REPLACE THE MANIFOLDS AT THE DEALERSHIP. THE MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY EXPIRED AT 80K MILES AND I WAS TOLD THAT THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH ARMADA AND TITAN MODELS. I SHOPPED AROUND FOR ESTIMATES AND HAD THE MANIFOLDS REPLACED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WITH AFTERMARKET PARTS FOR A TOTAL COST OF $2,100 WITH A 2-YEAR/24K MILES WARRANTY. IN 2020 AND AT 125K MILES (3 YEARS/30K MILES LATER), THE SAME ISSUE OCCURRED AND THE SHOP WOULD NOT EXTEND THE WARRANTY. THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT ESTIMATES THE REPAIR AT $5,000, AND THE INDEPENDENT SHOP ESTIMATES $1,900. ALL OF THE MECHANICS (INCLUDING THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP) HAVE ADVISED ME THAT THEY DON'T THINK THE CAR IS WORTH THE INVESTMENT AT 130K MILES CONSIDERING THE TRADE VALUE IS AROUND $5K. I CAN'T AFFORD THIS REPAIR TWICE IN 3 YEARS, AND I'M DRIVING MY FAMILY AROUND BREATHING IN CO FUMES THAT COULD HARM OR KILL US. I PRIMARILY USE THE VEHICLE FOR DAY-TO-DAY SUBURBAN DRIVING WITH OCCASIONAL CAMPING TRIPS - NO HARD OR OFF-ROAD USE. NISSAN SHOULD ADDRESS THIS ISSUE AND REIMBURSE THE COST OF REPAIRS AS THIS IS A POTENTIALLY FATAL ISSUE FOR DRIVERS. I AM NOW FACED WITH A DECISION TO INVEST ALMOST HALF THE VALUE OF MY VEHICLE IN A REPAIR THAT MAY FAIL AGAIN, OR TO BUY A NEW CAR I CAN'T CURRENTLY AFFORD IN THE MIDDLE OF A PANDEMIC. PLEASE HOLD THE MANUFACTURER ACCOUNTABLE TO ITS US CUSTOMERS.
PURCHASED A 2010 NISSAN ARMADA AND THE SUSPENSION SEEMS TO HAVE JUST GONE OUT WHEN A CODE READER IS CONNECTED TO THE OBD2 CENSOR IT THROW THE CODE EVEN THOUGH IT WAS JUST REPLACED BUT THE CAR LOT ORLANDO CARS & TRUCKS FROM EUSTIS . I SAW ON MOST 2010 NISSAN ARMADAS THEY FAIL . ALSO MY SONS SEAT IN THE BACK PASSENGER SIDE DOESN?T STAY CLIPPED DOWN . THIS IS SOMETHING HUGE FOR ME . HIS SAFETY IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ME . MOST DAYS MY CAR SOUNDS LIKE A JET IS GOING TO TAKE OFF AND I'M NOT SURE IF IT IS A HUB ASSEMBLY . BUT THE SEAT SITUATION IS COMPLETELY A MALFUNCTION IT SHOULD STAND ANY DIFFERENT THAN THE WAY THE OTHER BACK SEATS STAND WHILE SITTING IN THEM . *TR
NOTICED CONDENSATION IN DRIVER'S SIDE HEADLIGHT APPROXIMATELY 4 YEARS AGO. HAS NEVER DRIED OUT. BULB IN DRIVER'S SIDE HEADLIGHT WENT OUT AND HAD TO BE REPLACED TWICE IN THE LAST YEAR. IT IS NOW OUT AGAIN AND HEADLIGHT HOUSING IS HOLDING WATER. THE BLINKER STILL WORKS BUT NOT THE HIGH AND LOW BEAMS. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE WHEN THE BULBS GO OUT. PICTURE UPLOADED OF WHAT IT CURRENTLY LOOKS LIKE.
VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN DRIVEWAY. WENT TO LEAVE HOUSE AND THE OVERHEAD REAR CONSOLE WAS HANGING FROM CEILING BY WIRES AND CONSOLE WAS RESTING ON MY CHILD'S CAR SEAT. FORTUNATELY MY FAMILY WAS NOT IN THE VEHICLE AT THE TIME OF FAILURE.
DRIVING ON SLIGHTLY WET ROAD. STARTED SPRINKLING FOR ABOUT FIVE MINUTES. IT WAS DRIVING FINE THEN ON THE ROAD TO MY HOUSE IN THE CITY. IT'S WINDY AND I WAS GOING MAYBE 10-15 MILES AN HOUR AND IT STARTED SPITTING OUT LIKE I WAS IN SNOW OR SLEET I ALMOST LOST CONTROL. SO I PUT I STOPPED AND THEN I BARELY PRESS ON THE GAS IT WOULD START SWERVING AGAIN. EVEN AT LESS THAN 5 MILES AN HOUR. I HAD TO GO SUPER SLOW HOW THERE WAS LIKE THERE WAS NO TRACTION AT ALL OR NO STEERING CONTROL. NO LIGHTS CAME ON OR ANYTHING. PRIOR TO THAT IT WAS DRIVING PERFECTLY FINE. I WANT TO SAY IT KIND OF FELT LIKE THE LEFT SIDE HAD NO TRACTION FOR SOME REASON BUT I DON'T KNOW. IT JUST FELT WEIRD LIKE I WAS DRIVING A SEADOO
LOCKING OF BRAKES, GAS PEDAL, AND STEERING WHEEL WHILE DRIVING IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 NISSAN ARMADA. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE CONTACT STRUCK A POTHOLE AND THE FRONT AND REAR OVERHEAD CONSOLES ALL FELL DOWN AT ONCE. THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER AND ATTEMPTED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE, BUT WAS UNSUCCESSFUL. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO GWATNEY BUICK GMC (5700 LANDERS RD, NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR 72117, (501) 945-4444) AND RECEIVED A REPAIR ESTIMATE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 156,000.
I WAS MAKING A LEFT TURN AT A STOP LIGHT WHEN THE COMPLETE CEILING CONSOLE (LIGHTS, REAR CLIMATE CONTROL BUTTON, SUN ROOF BUTTONS) FELL OUT OF CEILING OF VEHICLE. I ATTEMPTED TO CATCH WITH ONE HAND WHILE CONTROLLING VEHICLE WITH OTHER HAND. UPON PULLING OVER AND PARKING VEHICLE, I FOUND THAT SOME HOW THE PLASTIC HAD BROKEN ON BOTH SCREWS/BOLTS THAT WAS HOLDING IT IN PLACE. NOT SURE WHAT COULD HAVE CAUSED THIS BUT THE DROPPING OF THE UNIT COMPLETELY STARTLED ME WHILE DRIVING.
VEHICLE WILL CRANK BUT NOT START IN VERY COLD WEATHER. BATTERY TEST GOOD.
IS MINE ON A RECALL? , BECAUSE ONE OF 4 READINGS 'TAKATA RECALL ' TIRES PRESSURE ON MY VEHICLE IS NOT WORKING.
DRIVING THE VEHICLE UNDER NORMAL CITY DRIVING CONDITIONS THE INTERIOR OVERHEAD CONSOLE SIMPLY FELL DOWN AND WAS LEFT HANGING BY ATTACHED WIRES. NOBODY HAD TOUCHED OR OTHERWISE MANIPULATED THE CONSOLE. IT FELL IN TWO STAGES, AT FIRST IT DROOPED AND THEN MOMENTS LATER FELL AND LUCKILY DID NOT HIT OUR DAUGHTER IN THE HEAD.
