The car was off and parked, I had been driving, and my grand daughter in the back seat. My grand daughter who is [XXX] old was getting out of the car from the passengers rear door and the rear seat belt locked and retracted around her , continuously tightened and was wrapped around her abdomen, squeezing and failed to release. I attempted myself to get her out of the entrapment with no success. I ran into the building for help, Four adults who were trained in child safety, devices attempted to activate the manual release mechanism described in the manual, but the belt remained completely jammed and trapped her, she was screaming in pain and due to the immediate physical trauma and emergency, we were forced to cut the seat belt to free my grandchild. Nissan Consumer Affairs was notified under Reference # XXX, but they have closed the file, refused to cover the repair, and explicitly refused to provide me with a copy of their investigation report. The seat belt retractor represents a severe safety hazard. I have called them and they state, case closed and no, we won’t be releasing the report. The main infotainment display screen in my 2024 Nissan Kicks failed prematurely and blacked out completely, rendering the backup camera and rear cross-traffic safety systems entirely inoperable. This failure poses an immediate safety hazard to myself and pedestrians, as I am forced to drive and back up daily with zero rear visibility, completely losing essential safety features regulated by federal standards. The defect has been officially inspected and confirmed by an authorized Nissan dealership service center on two separate occasions. The dealer attempted to process a warranty replacement but informed me that the necessary replacement part was backordered due to inventory delays. Despite complying with the diagnostic process, Nissan Consumer Affairs has severely delayed a resolution since January 2026. On May 21, 2026, a supervisor corporate representative (Nancy, ID 7319115) refused to cover 100% of the manufacturing defect, denied providing a resolution in writing, and explicitly prohibited me from recording the phone call to avoid leaving an official audio trail of their statements. I am filing this complaint because Nissan is failing to fix an active safety hazard on a practically new vehicle under warranty.

On Friday, January 23, 2026, at approximately 6:41AM, I was going to Starbucks located at 5378 W. Rosecrans Ave Hawthorne, CA 90250. My partner and I were talking, I was just about to exit to get my coffee then we heard a loud “pop” like a gun shot, and then the sound of shattering glass. We jumped, frighted, startled by the sound, immediately looking over at the back seat of my car window. We both exited the car, a man who was outside of the front of my car (just walking by coming out of Starbucks) heard the same sound, he exclaimed “what was that a gun shot?”, we both thought it was an active shooter! I ducked and took cover. I was scared for my life. I noticed a women exiting her car across from mine, assumed it was safe. I asked her if she saw anything. She seen I was shaking up, and my window was shattered. She did not see anything. She asked if we needed assistance to contact the police department. Starbucks employees and witnesses assisted as we were unsure as to what was going on, and worried. I suffer from epilepsy and asthma and I have health problems. It was a lot to take in at that moment; my partner was concerned for me as I was for him. The thoughts of being killed kept running through our minds, and so thankful to be alive, we were completely traumatized! We had to get

I was driving to work around 3:15 am on 1/20/26 when my back windshield exploded! There was no warning. I did have my defrost on. I thought someone had shot or thrown something at my car. I called the service department at my dealership and even spoke the Service Manager. He recommended that I speak with consumer affairs, which I did. I was told to file and insurance claim. Not only that, my window cannot be replaced with an identical window. Mine was tinted from the factory and they do not sell that window. I'll have to pay even more to have my window tinted to match the rest of the car. I did Google this subject and I see that many Nissan vehicle owners have had the same thing happen to their cars. Also I see where a class action lawsuit has been opened. I want Nissan to take responsibility. I was driving on a bridge in the dark - the noise it made was LOUD.

The rear body vent seal failed, allowing water to enter the vehicle interior. This component is available for inspection. I noticed a sloshing water sound, and over time there was excess interior moisture, including repeated interior window frosting that required scraping for visibility. A Nissan dealership later confirmed water intrusion and interior mold contamination affecting the driver-side floor, rear seating area, and trunk. The presence of mold inside the cabin poses a health risk to occupants, and ongoing water intrusion creates a potential risk to vehicle electrical systems and other components. The issue was confirmed by a Nissan dealership through inspection and diagnosis. The vehicle has been inspected by Nissan service personnel. No police or insurance inspection was related to this issue. There were no warning lamps, messages, or alerts indicating water intrusion prior to discovery. The only symptom was the sloshing water sound, which prompted inspection.
