The Pre-Collision Braking system is the function that failed. It is turned in a new vehicle by the Manufacture. On March 24, 2026 the Toyota dealer did a safety recall on the vehicle The accident occurred on [XXX] In a Parking Garage. I was pulling into an empty parking spot. I turned the steering wheel to align the car to the lines on the floor. My foot was lightly on the brake when the car accelerated forward to hit the garage wall. The vehicle did not show any alarms until after it hit the wall, if this happened while driving it could have hit a pedestrian causing serious harm. I opened a case ([XXX]) with Toyota Brand Engagement Center on April 2, 2026. They downloaded a copy of the vehicle’s software on April 27, 2026. On June 10, 2026, I received an Email from Toyota Motor North America, Inc. (Ronald I.) He wrote “Our inspection did not identify that this incident was the result of a concern in your vehicle’s PCS or throttle system. We appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns, but we are unable to offer any assistance based on the electronic data and the vehicle inspection findings.” INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
