I WAS DRIVING WEST ON HWY 8, GOING 5-10 MILES UNDER THE SPEED LIMIT AND A VEHICLE AT A SIDE ROAD WAS STOPPED AT THE STOP SIGN. HOWEVER, HE THEN PULLED OUT IN FRONT OF ME INSTEAD OF WAITING, SO IT WAS HIS FAULT. HE EVEN SAID IT WAS HIS FAULT, AND HE WAS IN A HURRY AS IT WAS HIS LAST MEAL TO DELIVER FOR MEALS-ON-WHEELS. I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH BACK PROBLEMS AND MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS EVER SINCE, AND STILL TRYING TO WORK. ALSO, THE POLICE REPORT SAID THE AIR BAG WAS DEPLOYED, HOWEVER THEY DID NOT COMPLETELY DEPLOY; THEY STARTED TO BUT THAT WAS ALL, AND PICTURES WILL PROVE THE AIR BAGS DID NOT WORK PROPERLY. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHRYSLER CONCORDE. THE CONTACT NOTICED A STRONG ODOR OF FUEL EVERY TIME THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN. THE CONTACT OPENED THE HOOD AND NOTICED A PUDDLE OF FUEL ON THE GROUND. THE CONTACT DROVE TO THE USED CAR LOT WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL LINE WAS CORRODED AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 189,000.

WHEN I TRY TO BRAKE AT A STOP LIGHT, MY CAR TRIES TO QUIT. WHEN I SLOW BEHIND ANOTHER VEHICLE, MY VEHICLE LUNGES UPON CONTINUING AGAIN. I HAVE HAD THE TIMING CHECKED, BUT THAT IS NOT MY PROBLEM. MY VEHICLE WAS FIRST HIT ON THE DRIVER SIDE BY A HIT AND RUN DRIVER. THEN IT WENT INTO ONGOING TRAFFIC TO HIT ANOTHER CAR HEAD ON AND FINALLY WENT ON THE SIDE WALK HITTING A TREE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE POWER TRAIN MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. MAY 21, 2013 AT ABOUT 8 AM I WAS ON MY WAY TO WORK DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY WHEN THE PASSENGER AIRBAG DEPLOYED FOR NO REASON, IT STARTLED & SHAKEN ME TO THE POINT THAT IT ALMOST CAUSE ME TO GET INTO AN ACCIDENT, I THOUGHT THAT I HAD A TIRE BLOW OUT OR GUNSHOT TO MY WINDSHIELD BECAUSE I SEEN A FLASH, I PULLED OVER AND EXIT TO THE NEXT OFF RAMP TO CALM MYSELF FOR ABOUT 25 MIN THEN DROVE MY CAR TO THE CAR DEALER SERVICE AREA HOPING THAT THE DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG WOULDN'T DEPLOY ON MY FACE AS I DROVE. THE CAR HEAD LIGHTS & DASH LIGHTS DIM WHEN DRIVING. IF YOU PLAY WITH CONTROL SWITCH IT SOMETIMES MAKES THEM WORK RIGHT. CAR STALLS AND DOESN'T WANT TO RESTART. WE HAVE DONE THE RECALL FOR EXHAUST. THE A/C ALL THE SUDDEN STARTED MAKING NOISES WHEN STALLING AND NOW DOES NOT WORK MAKES A HISSING SOUND. I HAVE KEPT THIS CAR IN GREAT SHAPE AND HAVE IT MAINTAINED & SERVICED REGULARLY. I HAVE HAD SEVERAL SENSORS REPLACED AND THE ENGINE LIGHT REFUSES TO GO OFF. I PUT IT IN THE SHOP AND THEY SAID IT WAS BECAUSE GAS CAP WAS LOOSE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHRYSLER CONCORDE LX. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, THERE WAS A LOUD NOISE OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO STATED THE LUG NUTS ON EACH FOUR ALUMINUM WHEELS WERE LOOSE. THE TECHNICIAN TIGHTENED THE LUG NUTS. THE LUG NUTS WERE TIGHTENED SIX TIMES ON SEPARATE OCCASIONS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 56,000.

[WORK PERFORMED - REMOVE HOOD LATCH AND LUBRICATE LATCH AND CABLE IF HAPPENS AGAIN WILL NEED HOOD RELEASE CABLE (PER MECHANIC RECEIPT)] SECOND INCIDENT DATE:10/31/3011, FAILURE MILEAGE:71,782. I RETURNED TO THE MECHANIC, BECAUSE THE HOOD WOULDN'T CLOSE. [WORK REQUESTED - HOOD WONT(SIC) CLOSE, WORK PERFORMED - REPLACE STRECHED(SIC) HOOD RELEASE CABLE (PER MECHANIC RECEIPT)] THIRD INCIDENT DATE:01/05/12, FAILURE MILEAGE:74,187. I RETURNED TO THE MECHANIC, BECAUSE THE HOOD WOULDN'T CLOSE. [WORK REQUESTED - REPLACE HOOD LATCH (PER MECHANIC RECEIPT)] THE VEHICLE HOOD REMAINS CLOSED, PRESENTLY. IN MARCH 2012, I FOUND A HOOD LATCH RECALL ONLINE, FOR 2004 CHRYSLER CONCORDE. I NOTIFIED CHRYSLER THAT THERE IS A SAFETY RECALL NO. C29 -- HOOD LATCH ASSEMBLY FOR 2004 CHRYSLER CONCORDE. CHRYSLER SAID MY CAR WAS NOT IN THE RECALL. THEY TOLD ME TO MAIL MY ORIGINAL RECEIPTS AND HOOD LATCH FAILURE INFORMATION TO THEM. CHRYSLER RECEIVED MY RECEIPTS. ON APRIL,6, 2012, CHRYSLER STAFF, TOLD ME THAT MY VEHICLE IS NOT UNDER RECALL. I ASKED, "WHO DOES RECALLS?" CHRYSLER STAFF TOLD ME THAT THE NHTSA DOES RECALLS. THERE MAY BE OTHER 2004 CHRYSLER VEHICLES EXPERIENCING HOOD LATCH PROBLEMS. PLEASE INVESTIGATE THIS DANGEROUS CONDITION. THANK YOU. *JS

I WAS BACKING MY CAR OUT OF DRIVEWAY WHEN BACK OF SEAT COLLAPSED AND I FOUND MYSELF ON MY BACK SEEING STARS AND MY CAR WAS STILL MOVING . I WAS ABLE TO PULL MYSELF UP AND STOP THE CAR ON THE ROAD WITHOUT BEING HIT. I RECEIVED A CONCUSSION AND A HEADACHE THAT IS STILL WITH ME NOW OCTOBER 6, 2011. CHRYSLER CANNOT FIND A NEW SEAT FRAME AND WANTS TO PUT IN A USED ONE FROM A USED OR WRECKED CAR WITH NO WARRANTY. I CANNOT AFFORD A CAR PAYMENT FOR ANOTHER CAR AND MY CAR IS PAID FOR. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHRYSLER CONCORDE LIMITED EDITION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD STALL WHILE DRIVING AND JERK WHEN SHIFTING INTO THE NEXT GEAR. OCCASIONALLY, THE GEARS WOULD STICK WHEN ATTEMPTING TO SHIFT. THE VEHICLE SPEED WOULD INCREASE TO 5000 RPMS, THE ENGINE AND OIL LIGHT ALSO ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. A LOCAL MECHANIC REBUILT THE TRANSMISSION; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED, BUT DENIED ANY ASSISTANCE TO THE CONTACT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 160,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 170,000.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHRYSLER CONCORDE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN TRYING TO OPEN HER TRUNK IT FELL DOWN INSTEAD OF STAYING IN THE OPEN POSITION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT BEEN INSPECTED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
ON OUR SECOND ENGINE NOW. THE SECOND ENGINE IS NOW DOING THE SAME AS THE FIRST BEFORE IT QUIT. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS NOW ON AND NO ONE CAN SEEM TO TELL ME WHY THE CAR KEEPS STALLING WHILE DRIVING AT A VARIETY OF DIFFERENT SPEEDS AND CONDITIONS. WHEN IT STALLS THE CAR IS STILL PARTIALLY ON. THE POWER STEERING GOES OUT AND I CAN NOT ACCELERATE BUT THERE ARE STILL A COUPLE OF LIGHTS ON THE DISPLAY THE SAME ONES THAT TURN ON WHEN YOU TURN THE KEY HALF WAY FORWARD. I THINK THE ELECTRICAL IS STILL ON BUT THE ENGINE IS OFF. DOES THAT MAKE SENSE? I AM NOT A MECHANIC, BUT THEY CAN'T FIGURE IT OUT EITHER SO I GUESS THAT WOULDN'T HELP! THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CODE REFERS TO THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER, BUT I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT IT IS FINE. THIS IS A CONCORDE LXI ACTUALLY SHOULD BE CALLED POS INSTEAD OF LXI. WE HAVE REPLACED THE CAM SENSORS, THE CAM SHAFT, BATTERY, ALTERNATOR, BATTERY CABLES, THE TRANSMISSION, AND THE ENGINE. IT STILL QUITS SEVERAL TIMES A MONTH. THIS ALL BEGAN BEFORE THE WARRANTY WENT OUT, IT PAID TO REPLACE THE FIRST CAM SENSOR. THIS WAS MY FIRST CAR AND I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO AFTER THE WARRANTY WORE OUT. I STILL DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. MECHANICS TELL ME TO GET A NEW CAR I CAN'T AFFORD ONE.
ON NOVEMBER 4TH, 2009, I WAS PULLING INTO PARKING POSITION WITH MY WHEEL TURNED ALL THE WAY TO THE RIGHT TO AVOID COLLISION WITH THE VEHICLE IN THE PARKING SPACE NEXT TO ME. AS THE TURNING CONTINUED I HEARD A LOT POP SOUND AND IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THIS SOUND WAS LOSS OF WHEEL CONTROL. I HAD TO SLAM THE BRAKES BECAUSE MY VEHICLE HAD STARTED TOWARDS THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. WHICH IS THE CAR PARKED NEXT TO THE PARKING LOT I WAS TRYING TO PARK INTO. OBVIOUSLY THERE WAS A FAILURE IN THE STEERING COLUMN OR SHAFT. THANKFULLY, I WAS TRAVELING AT A SLOW RATE OF SPEED. I WAS ABLE TO STOP THE CAR BEFORE I ENDED UP HITTING THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. *TR

I HAVE A 2004 CONCORDE LXI. I ALSO HAVE HAD VERY MANY TROUBLES WITH MY CAR STALLING WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS AND CONDITIONS. MY CAR STARTED MAKING A LOT OF CLUNKING AND GRINDING NOISE WHEN I WOULD TURN THE STEERING WHEEL AND WHEN I WOULD GO OVER A BUMP WHILE TURNING, SO I TOOK MY CAR IN TO A CAR SHOP AND THEY SAID THAT IT WAS THE TIE RODS ON MY CAR AND THAT IF I DIDN'T GET IT FIXED THAT I WOULD MORE THAN LIKELY HAVE BAD ACCIDENT BECAUSE THE STEERING WOULD LOCK UP, SO I AM HAVING MY CAR REPAIRED AT MY COST, WHEN CHRYSLER SHOULD HAVE TAKEN CARE OF THIS WHEN IT WAS FIRST BROUGHT TO THERE ATTENTION. MY CAR IS A 2004 CHRYSLER CONCORD WITH ONLY 61744 MILES ON IT, I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO KNOW THAT THERE WAS SOMETHING WRONG WITH MY CAR AND HAVE AN APPOINTMENT TO GET THE TIE RODS FIXED BEFORE I GET KILLED, MY APPOINTMENT IS NOV 18, 2008. *TR
MY 2004 CHRYSLER CONCORDE HAS ENGINE FAILURE. I HAVE CAME ACROSS LOTS OF PEOPLE WITH THE SAME PROBLEMS WITH THE 2.7 ENGINES. I JUST BOUGHT THE CAR 1 YEAR AGO AND CHRYSLER HAS TOLD ME SINCE THE CAR IS OLDER THAN THREE YEARS THEY ARE NOT LIABLE.
