The contact's daughter owns a 2006 Honda Civic equipped with Kumho Tires, Tire Line: Kumho ECSTA XII, Tire Size: 205/55/R16, DOT Number: 15MA0-1AH0-2424. The contact stated that upon inspecting the vehicle, the rear driver’s side tire and the rear passenger’s side tire were bald and had no treadwear. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The tires were not replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.
cracked engine block leaking coolant. Honda says it's not covered after the extended warranty expired. The issue starts happening in many vehicles after 100K miles and my car started seeing the issue at 135K miles . Dealer will not help, Honda of America won't help. this needs to turn into a recall please. Honda must reimburse or have the crack fixed.
- What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? My 2006 Honda Civic engine overheated. Upon diagnosis it was found that radiator coolant had leaked out due to cracks in the engine block (short block). Engine malfunction. - How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? My teenage son drives this car and initially he did not notice coolant leak. Engine can stop working while driving on a freeway (seized engine) which is a very serious safety risk. - Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes, local Honda dealer confirmed the problem and pointed me to a service bulletin 10-048 from American Honda [XXX] ) that noted this exact manufacturing defect. American Honda had provided extended warranty to allay customer fears at the time but without a recall. - Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? It was inspected by a Honda dealer, Tracy Honda at California. It was also inspected by another local auto shop and had the same finding. I am attaching those documents. - Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No warning signs. The issue was first observed on [XXX]. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

I have a 2006 Honda Civic GX compressed natural gas vehicle. The problem with the vehicle is the compressed natural gas cylinder that holds the fuel. The cylinders are only certified for a period of time 15 or 20 years. After that the cylinders are considered expired and must be replaced. Once they are expired, they cannot be recertified. The problem I encountered is a complete lack of knowledge of proper maintenance procedures even by Honda dealers that are certified to work on natural gas vehicles (NGV). See Honda Service Bulletin 06-015 1998-2015 Civic GX All and US Dept of Energy, Alternative Fuels Data Center - CNG Fuel System and Tank Maintenance. From the time I bought the vehicle in 2006 until 2024 I regularly took it to a certified Honda NGV service dealer. At no time did they perform any required NGV safety checks. My issue is that there may be many of these vehicles on the roads still that pose a real safety risk to the owner and public if the NGV fuel systems have not been properly maintained. I brought this safety issue up to the Honda dealer and Honda Motor Company and both declined to take any measures to alert current NGV owners or Honda certified NGV service dealers. If expired cylinders are still in service, they are at risk of exploding and causing significant damage and injury.
The contact owns a 2006 Honda Civic. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact was informed by a driver that her brake lights were not operating as needed. The vehicle was taken to the independent mechanic; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed, but the brake lights were repaired. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure persisted, and the brake lights failed to operate as designed. The dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHSTA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.
The contact owned a 2006 Honda Civic. The contact stated that while the husband was idling behind a bus, a second vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed crashed into the rear end of the vehicle. The impact of the rear-end crash pushed the vehicle into the rear of the bus causing severe damage to the vehicle's front end. During the crash, the air bags did not deploy and the seatbelts on both the driver's and front passenger's side had malfunctioned and did not properly secure the occupants. The driver sustained bruising of the chest and torso. The front passenger sustained a head injury. No medical treatment was immediately required. The vehicle was destroyed. A police report was taken at the scene and the vehicle was towed to a local service center. The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were not contacted. The failure mileage was 170,000.
There was a recall on the 2006 Honda Civic EX Sun Visors which Honda replaced only to have it break again. I think Honda should be responsible to replace and to ensure it stays intact. It is very dangerous and difficult to drive with the direct sun in your eyes. Please respond. [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR THE AIRBAG RECALL.
The contact owns a 2006 Honda Civic. The contact stated that the air bag warning light was illuminated. The air bag warning light was previously activating and deactivating. The contact called the local dealer, but the vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 90,000.
Following completion of reporting Walnut Municipal Code (WMC) 3.40.010 violations at the end of my night, I walked out and found that my car was again vandalized in retaliation for filing a complaint related to the violation of Walnut Municipal Code 3.40.010. Such vandalism is intended to further disengage the workforce by causing expenses that are extreme, and such vandalism can occur as repeatedly as the nuisance of such noise violations involving such misuse of non-emergency one way communication speakers as radio devices to emit noise in the form of statements describing oneself as an enforcement or city professional, aside from some type of affiliation with a financial institution advisor, if not regulator of such related agency. In this case the vandalism involved not allowing turning off the red tail lights of my vehicle. The usual occurrence is kill switching the vehicle as if it is stolen, activating the alarm to prevent my usage, not unlocking the vehicle with the key, remotely disengaging the key from the alarm, and then engaging when an authority external to the dealer decides to stop precluding its use. Such actions targeting preclusion are usually alleviated after several additional inspections are made and planned activities have passed, eg a social event or deadline. Thank you for your attention. The contact owns a 2006 Honda Civic. The contact stated that upon checking the fluids in the vehicle, she noticed that coolant had leaked onto the ground. Upon inspecting under the hood of the vehicle, the contact then noticed that coolant was located at the bottom of the engine and a small crack in the coolant reservoir. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximate 208,000.
Continuous monitoring, including on the road, to create hazard. The following incidents are more about activities directly related to remaining qualified for a job and maintaining oneself in a state that is acceptable to employers. Reporter Name [XXX] HONDA Civic/CRX 2006Gray, CA[XXX] mySantaAna Work Order #[XXX] Traffic Engineering-Signal Issue Speed of Traffic Lights sped up and skipped through yellow to cause crossing at red or stopping within a foot of the crosswalk. Intersection has cameras around traffic lights. Timing was off enough to question, ie actually watching a stopwatch to know that it sped through yellow and ended green early from my view point was clearly seen. I will investigate further. Traffic patterns didn’t support such action and pedestrian activity just for that crossing was heavy while the other directions were not. Seemed suspicious but such timing had little effect on where my car stopped anyways. It was suspicious that there weren’t pedestrians traveling north and south on 17th or at the opposite side of the intersection, but that the side was on had at least 8 people immediately crossing. [XXX] Report Submitted NOV 16, 2022 - 7:39 AM New Request #[XXX] Location: [XXX] Description: Criminal or Illegal Activity (Trespass into Vehicle/ Theft of Control during Operation) in the City of West Covina I left Home Depot [XXX] on 11/16/22 9:59 PM PST. When I turned left onto Azusa Avenue to drive towards Amar Rd., two cars sped up in front of me. As both separated into each lane in front of me to drive side by side, the car on the left that drove in front of me, let out a significant amount of black smoke that began immediately after he merged into the far left lane in front of me after I turned left onto Azusa at The Heights traffic light intersection and ended immediately before the left turn p INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
My car ran fine when started but the a few minutes later, it goes into limp mode where I cannot accelerate. Then it stalls out and now it won't restart. I do not know exactly what the problem is but my check engine light, IMA and red battery light comes on when it happened. As of now, my car is not even starting. This almost caused an accident because I was driving on the freeway when it randomly decided to go into this limp mode
Car wont shift an jerks when u drive
The car developed a crack in the engine block resulting in coolant leaks. This is unsafe and produces a toxic smell. The car is only at 119,000 miles and Honda will not cover it because it is 10 years past the warranty date. This warranty needs to be extended further. 119,000 miles is not a good quality Honda product.
Engine overheats due to a crack in the engine block causing the coolant to leak.Overheated engine smokes and has the potential for fire. I did my research and spoke to handful of certified mechanics, the solution is as I understand is to replace the engine. there was a recall notice sent September 2014 to address this issue which I did not receive nor I had a problem at the time of notice. Could someone please look into this for us, it would greatly help me and my family to be safe on the road while driving this vehicle. Thank you,
