The head-up display and the digital display cluster turn off and on while driving. The digital display cluster seems to lose connection and will show a "NO SIGNAL" message. This will happen for minutes at a time. When this happens, the display is black and does not show speed or other important safety information. The vehicle has been inspected twice by the dealership; they are not able to replicate the issue. This problem began within weeks of purchasing the new vehicle.
The automatic emergency braking system activated early and aggressively causing a rear end collision. It is available for inspection upon request. While driving in busy traffic on a highway I was lightly braking to avoid sudden stops or unexpected movements of the vehicle while traveling between 20-30 mph. The vehicle then activated the emergency braking system and came to a sudden and unexpected complete stop. This sudden stoppage caused myself and my passenger to be thrown forward harshly against the seatbelts. Additionally I was unable to steer the vehicle towards the side of the road as the wheel had locked and avoid an SUV that was rapidly approaching my rear. This SUV subsequently rear ended me. The actual collision was minor thankfully due to the low speed of the traffic, but could have been much more severe if traffic conditions had been different. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Not yet. (I am in the process of this right now, but because my car was in a collision the dealer will not fix the recall or inspect the vehicle until the collision damage is fixed) Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? See previous answer Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? The vehicle had not exhibited any issues prior to this sudden stopping.
The contact owns a 2025 Hyundai Tucson. While the contact’s son was driving approximately 55 MPH on a three-lane highway, the brakes locked up. While attempting to move the vehicle to the shoulder, the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck the guardrail and rolled over several times. The air bags deployed, and the glass shattered. There were no injuries reported. A Police report was filed. The contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V316000 (Forward Collision Avoidance). The vehicle was towed from the scene to a tow lot. The local dealer was not contacted, and the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The insurance company later towed the vehicle to the facility and deemed the vehicle a total loss. The manufacturer was notified of the issue; however, an assigned case manager had not responded. The approximate failure mileage was 19,081.
Good morning the problems I am having with my 2025 are very discouraging. Started October of 2025, my tire light illuminated stated the tires were low when they are all at correct specs when using an air guage to check. November of 2025 while driving at night the headlights suddenly shut off briefly then came back back on. January of 2026 while leaving work the transmission would not shift, held accelerator pedal to floor but could not go above 20 mph all the way home for 3 miles. April of 2026 the right side of navigation screen went completely black, shut vehicle off twice and on third restart the screen reilluminated. June of 2026 same thing with the screen going black. I have had my Tuscon at the local dealer here in my town for supposedly a repair that they state was a "coaxel cable" behind the dash that was fixed that was causing this issue. I also had the recall performed for the front view camera software update but it is still showing not completed. This is very frustrating to be having experiencing these kind of issues on this new of a vehicle. Clearly something is going on with the software or something and the dealer keeps telling me they are not finding anything wrong. I am a service advisor myself at a small independent shop so I understand the terms they are using but something needs to be addressed to correct the issues that I am having. It is scary when driving and the screen goes black or driving at night and losing the headlight functions. I would appreciate if somebody will look into this and reach out to me to get some kind of remedy for why this is happening. I am paying alot for this vehicle and to say I am satisifed is an understatement. I have purchased Hyundai as my choice of vehicle due to the quality, great warranties and good reviews from other consumers however I am seriously thinking of exploring alternative makes as I do not want to keep going through this. Plus the engine consumes oil. I have attached p/w for review as well

The contact owns a 2025 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, another vehicle slowed down in front of the vehicle, and the Forward Collision Avoidance system activated, the brakes engaged, and caused another vehicle behind to crash into the rear of the contact’s vehicle. No warning lights were illuminated. A Police report was not filed. No injuries were sustained. Medical attention was not needed. The air bags did not deploy. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed, and it was determined that the rear bumper, rear hatch, and several other unknown parts under the bumper needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact was notified that the VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V316000 (FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 18,120.
The contact owns a 2025 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that while in reverse, several warning lights illuminated on the instrument panel, and the vehicle suddenly reversed without depressing the accelerator pedal and crashed into a light post. The air bags did not deploy. There were no injuries sustained. The contact sought medical attention after being overwhelmed by the experience. A Police report was not filed. The contact was able to drive the vehicle, and the vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the front-view camera was updated; however, the dealer was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was taken to Imperial Body Shop to repair the body damage. After the software update was performed, the contact became aware that the vehicle failed to turn off immediately, and several attempts were needed to turn off the vehicle. On another occasion, the contact was able to turn off the vehicle; however, the engine continued to run. Several attempts were needed to turn off the vehicle. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The manufacturer opened a case for the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 7,500.
I had the Hyundai recall 302 performed on 5/27/2026 and after the software update none of the front sensors worked. My wife had a 2 mph bump with the car in front of her on [XXX]and there was no warnings, also no damage no injuries that I'm aware of. So I started to investigate why there was no alarm sounded or any red warning light on the dashboard. Pulled the car into the garage and up to 6 inches from the garage wall no warning on the dash. Took the car back to the dealership on 6/5/2026 they changed some settings and it still failed to warn of an still failed. The gave me a service appointment on 6/9/2026 they calibrated the front windshield sensor and now the parking assist sensors worked. When I pulled into the garage the front camera showed yellow and red warnings as I approached the wall. That fixed the parking sensors issue. Still no forward collision avoidance warning shortly there after was referred to the service manager Rich Block he stated that the front bumper cover would need top be removed to calibrate the radar behind the bumper, but Hyundai's warranty would not cover it and, I should call Hyundai Customer care. I did and was contacted by Mohamed at National Consumer Affairs (714) 922 - 3276. and here we we sit. when they pulled the bumper they found the mounting bracket was bent. Mohamed at National Consumer Affairs (714) 922 - 3276 stated could I prove that all this happened after recall 302. I can only prove the parking sensor issue because after recalibration they worked. Hyundai Motors refuses to accept any responsibility for this incident. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
I was driving in a line of cars when there was a sudden slowing of all cars ahead of my 2025 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid. Car's Forward Collision Avoidance system applied brakes too early and too hard. Car behind me almost collided with my car's rear. My 2025 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid had less than 1,300 miles. I confirmed this early collision avoidance early braking incident to salesman, Stephan, on May 7, 2026 during service at Piazza Hyundai of West Chester. I explained it was a near collision by car behind me. No action taken by dealership, and no recall information was provided to me.
The contact owns a 2025 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that while reversing, the vehicle reversed 6-inches, and the Forward Collision Avoidance system erroneously engaged because there were two bikes mounted on the rear of the vehicle. The contact stated that the failure had been recurring consistently, requiring the driver to deactivate the Forward Collision Avoidance feature while reversing with the bikes mounted on the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the contact was informed that there was no fix for the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and confirmed that there was no fix for the failure. The contact became aware that the VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V316000 (FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE); and associated the failure with the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 500.
main instrument cluster and Heads-Up Display (HUD) randomly flickering, turning completely black with a "No Signal" message, or triggering all dashboard warning lights.
Sunroof exploded I was driving at high speed on a highway. sounded like a gun fired. glass must have flown back towards other cars. Noise was terrifying and I slowed to gain my composure before pulling to the side of the highway and calling the police. Car is currently at a local dealership. My initial thought was that something like a rock hit the sunroof, but on my own inspection it appears the explosion was outward. there is no evidence of something falling on it. no scratches on the inside roof cover which was closed at the time. No makes on the roof rack or scratches on the car roof. There was no warning of any kind from the vehicle that it might occur. after doing some research I discovered that there have been many cases of exploding sunroofs on Hyundai cars. Dealership is under the assumption that a rock hit the roof, but are not willing to give me a report of an examination into what might have caused it. They disregarded my conclusion that it exploded outward.
I was driving along a 40 mile an hour road and there was a fork in the road and a car in the opposite lane waiting to turn onto that fork to the right and the car just slammed on the brakes and I was injured very badly. My neck back and hips are hurt very bad.
On XXX, my vehicle unexpectedly activated its automatic braking system while driving, resulting in a rear-end collision. My infant daughter was in the vehicle at the time. While we were fortunate to avoid catastrophic injuries, the incident placed both of us in significant danger and could easily have resulted in a much more serious outcome. The other driver may also have sustained injuries as a result of the collision. The vehicle sustained approximately 20,000 in damage. Since the accident, I have learned of Hyundai’s recall involving this braking system. Given the circumstances, I am deeply concerned that the condition addressed by the recall contributed to the collision. What is particularly troubling is that this was not the first time I raised concerns regarding the vehicle’s braking behavior. On February 23, 2026, at approximately 11:00 a.m., I spoke with my dealership, North Bay Hyundai in [XXX] regarding unexpected braking behavior that I was experiencing with the vehicle. My concerns were not escalated, and I was not advised that a potential safety issue might exist. Several months later, I was involved in a collision involving the same system that is now subject to recall. I am also deeply concerned by the manner in which this recall was communicated. I received only a text message regarding a defect involving a critical vehicle safety system. Given the potential consequences of unexpected braking events, I do not believe the seriousness of this issue was adequately conveyed to affected customers. My vehicle has an ongoing safety‑critical defect involving the braking system, powertrain, and ADAS logic. I have not driven the vehicle since 04/27/2026; all diagnostic trouble codes were recorded while the vehicle was in the dealership’s possession. On 05/05/2026, the vehicle stored multiple DTCs, including C164286, P071300, P076800, U060FF1, U060F29, and U061386. On 05/13/2026, P071300, P076800, U060FF1, U060F29, and U061386 were recorded again, showing repeated powertrain, communication, and control‑system faults while the vehicle remained with the dealer. On 05/22/2026, two additional safety‑related DTCs (P107600 and C272146) were first recorded, and both were last reported again on 05/27/2026, still while the vehicle was in dealer custody. These DTCs now show as Historical because the vehicle has not been operated since the last fault was recorded. Their Historical status only means the system has not run a new check — it does not mean the defect is repaired. The vehicle has also exhibited brake‑logic abnormalities, including a persistent Brake‑ON signal at highway speeds, which violates Brake‑Throttle Override safety logic and affects ADAS functions. The powertrain shows signs of torque converter instability, mechanical drag, abnormal slip, and heat buildup documented across these dates. Two OTA updates were performed during periods of instability, but neither corrected the defect. The dealership has not provided documentation confirming the safety issues were resolved. Because the braking logic, powertrain behavior, and repeated DTC activity remain unexplained and unresolved, I do not believe the vehicle is safe to operate.
What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection? The forward collision avoidance (FCA) system malfunctioned. The front camera system appears to have triggered unintended hard braking beyond normal driver input. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. How was safety put at risk? While approaching a vehicle in front of me, I was gradually slowing down and applying the brakes normally. Without warning, the vehicle suddenly applied significantly stronger braking than intended. This abrupt and excessive braking caused the vehicle behind me to collide with my car, creating a dangerous situation and increasing the risk of injury. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed? UNKNOWN. The issue has not been reproduced since the accident, and it has not yet been confirmed by a dealer. However, the incident is consistent with Hyundai Recall NHTSA Campaign Number 26V316000, which describes unexpected and premature activation of the forward collision avoidance system. Has the vehicle been inspected? The vehicle has been inspected by insurance representatives following the accident. It has not yet been inspected by Hyundai or a dealership specifically for this recall-related issue. Were there any warning signs before the failure? There were no warning lights, alerts, or messages prior to the sudden braking event. The braking intervention occurred without advance notice. Additional description of incident: At the time of the incident, I was approaching a vehicle ahead and applying the brakes gradually under normal driving conditions. The vehicle then suddenly applied much stronger braking than expected, consistent with automatic emergency braking intervention. This abrupt deceleration caused the vehicle behind me to rear-end my car. This behavior matches the defect described in Hyundai Recall 26V316000, where the forward collision avoidance system may activate unexpectedly and apply excessive braking.
Doesn't slow down properly when I step off from gas pedal and try to stop at traffic light/stop signs and before making turns. It barely reduces average 2 mph for whole block. Lets say when I step off from the gas pedal at 25 mph, the car reduce the speed to about 23 mph when it's so close to light/stop signs and right before making turns. It seems like there is no 1st gear, just 2nd gear is the lowest. Always I have to brake harsh before light/stop sign/ making turns. I've been driving for 45 years in NYC but I can't get used to this dangerously weird driving situation while driving the 2025 Hyundai Tucson. I have driven the 2023 Hyundai Tuscon before as well but I have not had this issue until now with the 2025 model.
MULTIPLE WARNING LIGHTS ON THE DASHBOARD, INCLUDING SRS , TCS, ABS , ALL LIGHTS STAY ON EVEN AFTER TURNING THE VEHICLE OFF. SYSTEMS DON'T WORK, SUCH AS LANE DEPARTURE, COLLISION AVOIDANCE & ABS DON'T WORK. SPOKE W/ KOEPPEL HYUNDAI, MENTIONED THE ISSUE, BUT WAS TOLD THAT THAT ISN'T PART OF THE RECALL, THEREFORE THEY WILL NOT ADRESS THE ISSUE. IT'S FRUSTRATING , DON'T FEEL SAFE DRIVING THE VEHICLE. WILL TAKE LEGAL ACTION IF ANY ACCIDENTS WILL HAPPEN DUE TO AN ISSUE THAT THE DEALER IS REFUSING THE ADRESS.
During the winter, my car would activate the forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking while I was driving when there were no other vehicles in front of me or even around me. It happened several times over a few day timespan, at the time I thought it was because I had gotten a car wash when it was colder weather and maybe the water had affected the system but now I see that there is a recall for this same issue.
My car abruptly stopped due to the emergency braking system when the car in front of me braked (hard) but I had more than enough time to stop without having the emergency braking system engaged. Due to this, the car behind me hit me from behind damaging my bumper, trunk, and back lights
