On March 30, 2026, INFINITI of Naperville performed a multi-point inspection (RO 114984) on my 2025 Infiniti QX60 at 10,507 miles and measured both rear brake pads at 6mm. On October 13, 2026, at 15,467 miles, the same dealership measured both rear brake pads at 3mm — 3mm of wear in approximately 4,960 miles, evenly on both sides. This wear rate is far faster than normal and will require rear pad replacement far sooner than the normal 30,000–50,000 mile service life. When I asked the dealership what would cause both rear pads to wear at this rate, they stated it was normal wear and declined to provide any explanation or diagnosis. I declined their $415 rear pad replacement and rotor resurfacing quote pending a root-cause diagnosis. Premature rear brake pad wear reduces rear braking capacity and, if pads wear to the backing plate, can increase stopping distance. This appears to be a pattern: NHTSA complaints ODI 11704103, 11727670, 11752870, 11725766, and 11740699 document the same premature rear brake wear on 2022–2025 QX60s, and a class action (Iwan v. Nissan North America, M.D. Tenn.) alleges the same defect on the platform-sharing Nissan Pathfinder. No crash, fire, injury, or warning lamp occurred
While driving my vehicle, it suddenly accelerated without my foot on the accelerator. The RPMs increased significantly, and the vehicle went to full throttle, accelerating rapidly without any input from me. I immediately attempted to stop the vehicle by pressing the brakes, but the vehicle continued accelerating. I also attempted to shift the vehicle into Park and Neutral, but it would not shift into either position. I was forced to turn off the engine while the vehicle was still moving in order to stop the incident. After the vehicle stopped, the steering wheel and brakes locked up. This was a frightening and extremely dangerous situation that could have resulted in a serious accident or injury. I reported this incident and expected the dealership to conduct a thorough investigation to determine what caused the vehicle to accelerate unexpectedly. It is a serious safety issue involving a vehicle that accelerated at full throttle without driver input. I have also having issued with the electrical with the screen flashing on and off the car stating the key is not detected when its in my hand.
The turbo does not kick in and caused the vehicle to not accelerate as needed when initially pulling out in traffic. Infiniti has a software update but they are charging owners to do it stating it is not a safety update but a performance update. This delay in shifting almost cause my vehicle to be hit because the car would not shift out of first gear. This also is not considered a warranty item to them.
On XXX, at approximately 7:30–7:50 a.m., the driver was traveling northbound on the [XXX] in [XXX] during heavy rain. While the vehicle was moving, it unexpectedly began steering or correcting its direction without the driver intending it to do so. At approximately the same time, the vehicle lost acceleration and the brakes did not respond normally. The driver attempted to stabilize and regain control of the vehicle, but the vehicle continued losing speed and could not be controlled normally. This created an immediate risk of being struck from behind while traveling in the express lanes. The vehicle ultimately collided with the express-lane concrete barrier. No other vehicle was involved. The airbags did not deploy. Police responded to the crash and a police report was created. Medical evaluation was obtained at an emergency room following the incident because of pain after the collision. The vehicle was towed to a collision repair center and remains available for inspection. The insurance company has inspected the collision damage and prepared a repair estimate. The incident was reported to the manufacturer’s Consumer Affairs department. The manufacturer stated that the vehicle’s behavior was “expected” or normal and stated that the airbags may not have deployed because the impact did not meet the required threshold. However, the manufacturer has not provided a complete technical inspection report explaining the unexpected steering intervention, loss of acceleration, and abnormal braking response that occurred before the collision. The driver does not recall receiving a warning that adequately explained these problems before the vehicle became difficult to control. The exact component or electronic system responsible is currently unknown. I am requesting that NHTSA review the steering, braking, speed-control, driver-assistance, and electronic systems as a potential safety defect. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
Wireless phone charging pad overheats phone to the point the phone turns off. Concern for possible fire hazard due to how hot the phone gets. In July 2026 the dealer was advised of issue. Dealer referred me to Infinity Consumer Affairs who said they consulted with their engineers and there is nothing they can do about this known issue.
Pulling onto 55mph road from a stop, the car began to accelerate then lagged(felt like a pause/stall in acceleration) and then overcompensated with rapid acceleration. This has happened multiple times. The vehicle has also gotten stuck in a low gear when accelerating in auto mode. Took the car to the dealership expressing safety concern of unreliable acceleration and they couldn’t replicate the issue.
While driving on highway vehicle completely shut down . Barely giving time to pull over to the shoulder. The car required a tow. After inspection it was determined the Fuel pump needed to be replaced with 12,287 miles on the vehicle
Defective rear brakes & rear rotors at less then 22,000 miles on a 2025 QX60 almost causing major accident. Rotors warped & pads worn down to 1mm/2mm. Defective OEM parts used by Infiniti, refusal to cover under vehicle warranty.
Cabin vibration happens intermittently. Purchases vehicle new with 300 miles on it. Less than a month I experienced this vibration for the first time. It has happened at least once a month since. The noise and vibration is inside the vehicle only and only noticeable when driving. It appears to be related to the noise cancellation system.
Description of Issue On the date(s) above, I experienced the following problem with the vehicle: • The vehicle locked its doors spontaneously (or automatically) after I exited the vehicle. • At the time of locking, the key fob (Intelligent Key) was inside the vehicle (or believed to be inside). • The locking happened without pressing the lock button on the key fob, without the interior lock lever being used, and without the doors being manually closed by anybody else. • I did not use the exterior “touch-sensor” or handle-lock (if equipped), or if I did, I was unaware — the lock occurred unexpectedly. • As a result, the doors were locked with keys inside, and it was not possible to reopen the doors using the key fob or interior unlock controls. • I believe this event constitutes a safety hazard / defect because the vehicle’s owner manual states that locking via exterior handle-touch should be disabled when the key is detected inside the vehicle; thus the locking behavior appears to contradict the manufacturer’s design and safety intent. Impact / Consequences Describe any consequences or harm caused by the incident: I was stuck out in the cold weather with my car running and had to wait for my husband to show up to unlock the door. His app was unable to unlock the car remotely. The app kept getting messages that said that unlock failed. Any Other Relevant Information • Approximate time between exit and lock (if known): Unknown (few minutes?) • Whether the vehicle had been left running or turned off: Vehicle was running • Whether child seats or passengers were inside: No one was inside the vehicle • Whether you attempted to unlock using remote / key fob / manual key or via interior unlock controls: Attempted remotely. My phone was in the car. Requested Outcome I request that NHTSA (or the manufacturer / dealer): • Investigate this locking behavior as a potential safety defect. • Inform me (the reporter) of the investigation status.
Vehicle experiences noticeable vibration or rough idle when in Drive at stop, especially after warm-up. The issue persists despite regular maintenance and oil changes. Multiple owners report similar symptoms in 2022–2025 Infiniti QX60 models. The 2025 QX60 uses a new engine that has already been recalled in other Infiniti models due to similar issues. However, there has been no recall or official repair action issued for the 2025 QX60, even though the same engine and symptoms are present. Possible engine mount or idle control defect.
I was driving about 30 mph no cars around open sky . Sunroof Shatter
I purchased a brand-new vehicle(2025 Infiniti QX60) from Infiniti of Omaha (18201 Burt St, Elkhorn, NE 68022) and have experienced persistent issues with the vehicle shaking/swaying at higher speeds. The dealership has acknowledged the problem and raised it with Infiniti, but the manufacturer claims the issue is due to road conditions in Omaha rather than a defect with the vehicle. Infiniti corporate sent a technician and states it’s because of the roads in Omaha Nebraska. Even though the 2014 Infiniti QX60 I had for 10 years, drove on the same roads, did not have this problem. Infiniti of Omaha's service department has confirmed that my vehicle does, in fact, have issues and has attempted to fix it twice. They also indicated that similar problems are occurring with other vehicles that have the same specifications as mine. They have replaced the tires, which has helped on at slower speeds. At higher speeds, I still do not feel safe in my vehicle. Despite this, the dealership is stating they cannot assist further because it is considered a manufacturer issue. As it stands, I’m left with a $70,000 vehicle that is unsafe to drive at highway speeds, and the dealership refuses to stand behind the product they sold me. Any help you can provide would be appreciated.
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding an ongoing issue with my 2025 Infiniti QX60, which is equipped with the VC-Turbo engine. I have noticed an abnormal engine vibration while the vehicle is idling, such as when waiting at traffic lights or during stop-and-go driving. I am concerned because this issue appears to be related to the same VC-Turbo engine that is included in the recent recall for various Nissan and Infiniti models, including the Nissan Rogue, Altima, Infiniti QX50, and QX55, manufactured between 2019 and 2024. However, my 2025 Infiniti QX60, which uses the same engine type, was not included in the recall. The vibration issue has caused me significant concern about the safety and reliability of my vehicle. Given that the recall addresses engine failures and related risks in the affected models, I believe that my vehicle should be included in the recall as well, as it uses the same engine type and exhibits similar issues. I kindly request that NHTSA review this matter and include the 2025 Infiniti QX60 in the ongoing recall for VC-Turbo engines. I would appreciate any assistance you can provide in addressing this concern and ensuring the safety of my vehicle.
I have disable their rear emergency breaking over 10 times. Every time I turn the vehicle off it turns back on automatically. I have a trailer mounted bike rack hooked up to my vehicle and every time I back up it slams on the breakes. I have take then steps to turn this off but it will not remain off. Having this turn back on automatically is a safety hazard in my opinion.
On Saturday, 3/22/25-vehicle lease start date for the 2025 QX60-lease from Sanford Infiniti On Saturday, 4/5/25- brought the vehicle back to Sanford Infiniti due to noise coming from the engine. According to their written paperwork, “The issue is currently under engineering review and the temporary fix is to disable the ANC (Active noise cancellation). Turned off ANC as instructed by DTS, the concern is under engineering review.” On Sunday, 7/6/25, on my way back from being out of town, as I approached an oncoming red light with cars in front of me, I tried to press the brakes and the brakes locked up, hard locked. I repeatedly hit the brakes until they finally unlocked and stopped the vehicle right before impact. I then pulled over to calm down from shaking after almost getting into a car accident. The brake issue could have been worse, and I could have not only hurt myself but others too. They may not have ‘found’ something wrong with the brakes, but the brakes locked up me and I was the one who almost got into the car accident, not them. I don’t trust the car anymore and would like to find a replacement but definitely NOT with Infiniti. However, even if I did get the car back, I do not want to drive it as I do not feel SAFE driving it and I would hope that they aren’t waiting for me to get into an actual car accident to then try to resolve this.
very heavy vibration. Entire vehicle shaking. I thought it was the motor mounts. Very intermitent. Kicks in at 2,000 rpm. I went to dealership and found out the problem is active noise reduction has a problem with a defect on amplifier. Dealer couldn't fix the problem so they shut off the active noise cancellation function for now.
Purchased a new Infiniti QX60 2025 from dealership, within ~4650 miles and approximately 5 months since date of purchase, even before first ever oil change, still within its break-in period and had never been to a repair shop or modified since purchase, major safety concerns started to occur. 1.The front left wheel clunking noise at low or higher speeds and in straight line or turning, it was found by one of the Infiniti dealership to be loose and about to fall off, also dealership notified me of front right wheel lock lug nut completely missing. 2. I have not driven the car since I'm very concerned for my safety and that of my family, or my passengers, since it could cause tremendous harm or to any other person on the road or damage to property since a wheel coming off of a moving car could be compared to a loose cannon. 3.The problem has been confirmed by one of the Infiniti dealerships, it also has been documented by them. I also have video evidence of the front left wheel making that clunking sound 4. No lamps or messages were present, which makes this major safety issue a much more troubling concern. it only made the clunking sound which alerted me and I was able to hear it, but for example my family member that I had in the car with me didn't notice the sound at first until I pointed it out.
My wife was at a store and she put her merchandise into the car (with her purse and key fob) to put the cart away. As she was walking away she heard it lock and then she was unable to open the door. She had to call me from a bystander and I was able to download the Infiniti app and get her password etc and log in and unlock the car. I have looked online and this seems to be a common problem with incidents of babies being locked in the car and being unable to get in. Seriously scary issue.
Vehicles engine died and the vehicle completely stopped in the middle of the highway.
