The contact owns a 2015 Nissan NV200. The contact stated that the climate control mode failed to defrost the windows. Approximately 3 years after the first failure, the vehicle was repaired; however, the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken to the dealer at the first failure, and it was determined that the heater box had failed. The heater box and climate control bracket were replaced. The vehicle had not been taken to the dealer for a second diagnostic test or repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The approximate failure mileage was 10,000.
The vehicle safety switch is bad and Nissan dealers will not sell the part unless you buy the entire transmission. I bought this transmission in Nov 2020 from Nissan Dealer and the part is malfunction allowing it to start in all gears. The warranty on the transmission is 12,000 miles or 12 months. At this point, I am forced to drive this vehicle which can make it hazardous. Nissan is insistent that will not sell the part unless I buy a whole new transmission. How can that be?

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO WESTON NISSAN LOCATED AT 3650 WESTON RD, DAVIE, FL 33331 WHO PERFORMED AN ALIGNMENT BUT THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE TIRES WERE ALSO REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHO WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE AND NO SERVICE WAS PERFORMED. THE FAILURE RECURRED AND PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 140,000.
2015 NISSAN NV200 SV 78,000 MILES. DRIVER HAD MOVED VEHICLE INTO GARAGE, PARKED VEHICLE WITH A SLIGHT ANGLE TO THE STEERING. DRIVER COULD NOT REMEMBER IF VEHICLE WAS RUNNING OR KEY IN IGNITION IN 'ON' POSITION. WEATHER STRIPPING ON DRIVER'S DOOR WAS LOOSE AND PREVENTING DOOR FROM LATCHING CORRECTLY SO THAT MORE FORCE THAN USUAL WAS REQUIRED TO CLOSE AND LATCH DOOR. DOOR WAS CLOSED WITH VIGOR AND THIS CAUSED AIRBAG TO DEPLOY. COMMERCIAL VEHICLE WITH COMPONENTS INSTALLED THAT COULD FREEZE. NISSAN WAS NOT INTERESTED IN INSPECTING THE VEHICLE WITHIN A TIMELY MANNER SO VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO BODY SHOP FOR INSPECTION BY INDEPENDENT 3RD PARTY AND GET REPAIRS DONE. AT 23000 MILES BOTH BACK TIRES WERE FOUND TO BE BAD, BOTH TIRES HAVE A SINGLE FLAT SPOT WITH ONE WORN THRU TO THE CORD. BOTH FLAT SPOTS WERE ON THE INSIDE SIDE OF THE TIRE MAKING IT HARD TO NOTICE WITHOUT JACKING UP THE VEHICLE. EITHER THE VEHICLE OR THE TIRES ARE DEFECTIVE. THE DEALER SAID IT APPEARED THE BRAKES HAD LOCKED UP. THAT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE AS THE WEAR WOULD OF BEEN ACROSS THE TIRE NOT JUST THE INSIDE EDGE.
THIS VEHICLE IS EXPERIENCING SIGNIFICANT, EARLY, UNEVEN TIRE WEAR AND TIRE CUPPING, CREATING POTENTIAL FOR INJURY OF DRIVER AND PASSENGER IF NOT REGULARLY INSPECTED.
