A CRACK HAS FORMED IN THE AREA WHERE THE LIQUID/VAPOR SEPARATOR BRACKET IS WELDED INSIDE THE FUEL TANK. I INVESTIGATED WITH A BOROSCOPE--IMAGE ATTACHED. THIS IS ALLOWING FUEL LEAKAGE TO OCCUR THROUGH THE EMISSIONS SYSTEM. THIS IS THE SAME PROBLEM AS THE 2003-2006 RECALL (ATTACHED PDF). AFTER COMMUNICATING WITH THE SUZUKI DEALERSHIP, THE DISTRICT MANAGER REFUSED TO REPAIR THE GAS LEAKAGE.

I RECENTLY PURCHASED A NEW 2008 SUZUKI SV650 STANDARD MOTORCYCLE. THE INCIDENT HAPPENED RIGHT BEFORE I ENTERED THE FREEWAY. THE SCREW SECURING THE LEFT FOOT GEAR SHIFTER BECAME LOOSE AND FELL OFF. THIS IS A SERIOUS HAZARD SINCE MOTORCYCLE HAD ONLY 600 MILES WHEN IT HAPPENED. I COULD HAVE STALLED OR LOST CONTROL IF I ENTERED THE FREEWAY. *TR
