The recall is transmission cable. So my car is a ticking time bomb to fail to go into park, or fail while the car is parked. I need to use e-brake when parking, park on flat surfaces, wheels facing curb. Why do I have to live like that? Guess what i have a 30 degree angle of a driveway, (ill give you my address, photos to verify if you'd like) so I get to worry about it slipping out of park every night, or anywhere I go for that matter. You might think hey just park on the street. Ok I work hard to pay for a nice house and I should park on the street because there's no recall remedy? I should not have to operate my vehicle like this, it is unnecessary stress I carry around. Ive had this car since 2021 i absolutely love it, but this isnt right. If there is no transmission remedy I should get a complete new transmission. Or a dealership loaner until the remedy is available. Or one hell of a good deal on another Dart, i also like the Charger. Or something. Is anything I've said in this complaint unreasonable?

Shifter cable bushing failure - 1st recall in 2019, took to Dodge, was replaced in April of 2020. October 2025, safety recall replacement for the 1st recall fix as the shifter cable bushing failure, and as of May 12th 2026, there is NO remedy. My bushing broke April 2026 and I can't get it repaired. With no cable bushing, I cannot use my transmission gear shift in the car, every time I need to shift to either P, D, N and R, I have to manually get out of the car, open the hood, reach inside the hot engine to manually shift the gears.I contacted Stellantis Customer Service that handles recalls. The ONLY option they had for me for this October 2025 recall was to get my car fixed at a mechanic or Dodge dealership and send them the paid invoice so they could reimburse me for the money I spent. I told them that was unacceptable to me because 1.) how can you announce a national public recall in October 2025 and it's May of 2026 and STILL do and not have literally the small part (bushing size) that you've recalled? 2.) Dodge telling me to get the part fixed for $500 or more at a mechanic when the part that doesn't exist ANYWHERE that fits my Dart? Make it make sense! Meanwhile, everyday, I risk burning myself every time I have to reach into my hot engine to manually shift gears. This is dangerous and risks litigation if I burn myself anymore. Why is Stellantis allowed to get away with this? I refuse to pay and get reimbursed when it's a recall. Worse yet, how do I get it fixed if the part apparently isn't available? Again, make it make sense... Dodge is responsible to fix recalls on their dime, not mine.

Due to this safety-related defect, the vehicle moves even when the car is placed in park and on other occasions this defect has prevented the car from starting. I feel completely unsafe, but do not have another option for transportation. I am a senior on a fixed income so I can not purchase a new vehicle. I have taken excellent care of my Dodge Dart because I know I can't buy another car; but I need the manufacturer to care enough to fix this for me and many others. These incidents have occurred several times but the most recent is indicated below.

Car failing to start. Stating vehicle not in park while actually being in park. Also vehicle states that engine is warming wait to start no matter the temperature outside. Waited this morning for 2hrs for the vehicle to start it did not start. This is an emergency hazard for a vehicle to not start due to a computer issue. The current recall i attempted to go to the manufacturer however the manufacturer hasn’t formed a remedy to resolve the issue yet.

I am submitting this complaint regarding my 2015 Dodge Dart SXT with an active safety recall that currently has no available remedy. My vehicle experienced failure related to the recall issue, resulting in the vehicle becoming inoperable and requiring repair. At the time of failure, I was informed that the official recall remedy was not yet available and that the necessary part was on backorder. Because no recall remedy was available, I was forced to pay out of pocket to repair the vehicle in order to restore operability. I also incurred significant rental vehicle expenses while my car remained in the repair shop awaiting parts. I contacted Stellantis/Dodge Customer Care multiple times requesting assistance or reimbursement related to: * the repair costs associated with the recall-related failure, and * rental expenses incurred while the vehicle was out of service. My requests were denied, and the matter was repeatedly categorized as an “out-of-warranty” issue despite my concern specifically involving an active safety recall with no available remedy at the time of failure. I am concerned about: * the lack of an available recall remedy, * the financial burden placed on consumers when a recall-related failure occurs before a remedy is available, * extended delays due to backordered parts, and * the absence of transportation assistance or reimbursement for affected consumers. I am requesting that this complaint be documented and reviewed as a recall-related consumer safety and financial hardship issue.

The notice for the Transmission Shift Cable Failure was issued on Oct 09, 2025. This seems to be a high risk that could cause a crash unexpectedly. I would like to issue a complaint per the recall: If the manufacturer has failed or is unable to remedy this safety recall for your vehicle in a timely manner, please contact the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at: [XXX] or TTY: [XXX] or file an online complaint with NHTSA. Myself and a [XXX] and a [XXX] drive my car. I feel this is unacceptable amount of time to be driving a vehicle with such a high risk recall pending. During a recent dealership visit for recall work and an oil change, a potential issue was identified involving improper fluid presence. On April 16, 2026, I brought my 2015 Dodge Dart to Ewald Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram for recall work and an oil change. Upon pickup, I immediately noticed a strong burning smell. Service representative Austin told me this was normal due to the recall work performed. On April 17, I began hearing new clinking noises from the engine that were not present before this visit. On April 18, an independent mechanic observed red fluid consistent with automatic transmission fluid rather than normal engine oil. I have photos and video documenting this finding. I returned to the dealership, where a second oil change was performed. I also have video showing dark oil being removed only two days after the first oil change. The dealership denied wrongdoing and stated the vehicle arrived in that condition. No warning lights or similar symptoms existed before the April 16 service visit. All symptoms began immediately afterward. Incorrect or contaminated fluid can cause inadequate lubrication of engine components, overheating, engine damage, or sudden mechanical failure while driving, creating a safety risk to myself and others. The dealership has denied responsibility and refused to provide requested service records. Due to this experience, I no longer trust the dealership to further inspect or repair my vehicle. Should any engine damage arise as a direct result of incorrect fluid used during this service visit, the dealership should be held fully responsible for all repair costs

Recall Number A0C and NHTSA Recall Number 25V-674 has yet been addressed by the dealer or manufacturer. I contacted the dealership back in October of 2025 when learning about the recall at which time I was told there was no remedy as of yet. We are now in April of 2026 and there remains no remedy for a recall that imposes a risk of losing control of the vehicle's movement which ultimately will and can lead to a crash.
