Additionally, the contact stated that he smelled a burning odor coming from the rear passenger's side of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the brake caliper needed to be replaced; however, the parts for repair were not available. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and advised that the parts were not available. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 5,700.
