I am reporting a recall repair failure/delay involving my 2024 Chrysler Pacifica, VIN [XXX]. We received FCA’s recall letter for Important Safety Recall — Side Curtain Airbags, FCA Recall 06D, NHTSA Recall 26V-189. We scheduled a recall appointment with Pedder Chrysler Dodge Ram Jeep of Poway, 13811 Poway Rd, Poway, CA 92064, for XXX at 7:45 AM specifically because of this airbag safety recall. When we arrived, the dealer first said there was no recall, then later realized there had been a VIN-related mistake. They kept the vehicle. At 10:44 AM, the dealer texted that the vehicle was ready for pickup, but did not clearly disclose that the airbag recall remained unrepaired. Only after we called and asked for clarification did they say the airbag recall was not completed because the required airbag parts were unavailable. The repair invoice, RO #XXX, shows the airbag recall as “PARTS ON ORDER.” After pickup, NHTSA still showed 1 unrepaired recall for this VIN, status “Recall Incomplete.” The dealer refused to provide a written explanation documenting the VIN mistake, incomplete airbag recall, or ready-for-pickup communication. I am requesting NHTSA review this recall remedy failure/delay and the dealer’s handling of this safety recall appointment. This keeps the key evidence: the recall letter, invoice, and NHTSA active recall record. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Vehicle went to turtle mode 3 separate times at highway speeds forcing a stop. Each time it was towed to the dealer. First two times little was done per the report and was returned. On the third time it has spent 7 weeks for a repair on the transmission not a replacement. The dealer also needed to order a replacement exhaust clamp that took 5 plus days to receive and install. Service department wanted me to take delivery prior to the clamp replacement and I refuse due to safety concerns of CO. Without our AAA membership we would have spent nearly $1000 on those 3 tows.

I am a full-time power wheelchair user with Multiple Sclerosis and rely on this 2024 Chrysler Pacifica wheelchair-accessible van as my primary means of transportation. Since purchase, the vehicle has repeatedly experienced dangerous loss-of-power events while being driven. Immediately before the failure occurs, warning beeps sound and multiple warning lights illuminate, including Check Engine, ETC, Park Brake, FCW, ESC, and MIL. After these warnings appear, the vehicle loses acceleration and enters a reduced-power/limp-mode condition. Pressing the accelerator does not result in normal acceleration, creating a serious safety hazard in traffic. Most recently, on June 4, 2026, this occurred approximately six times during a single trip. During one incident, the warning lights illuminated, the vehicle lost acceleration, and we were forced to pull over with emergency flashers activated in a dangerous location. A police officer came upon us, stopped to assist, and advised that the location was extremely dangerous. Because I use a power wheelchair, I cannot safely transfer into a standard vehicle, taxi, rideshare, or other transportation. We explained to the officer that if the van were to be towed, I would effectively be stranded because there was no practical way to transport me in my power wheelchair. The condition later cleared and we were able to continue. The vehicle has been inspected multiple times by Chrysler service departments and DriveMaster, the local mobility provider working with Freedom Motors. The problem has been reported repeatedly but is intermittent and has not been reproduced during inspections. Despite multiple repair attempts, the problem persists. The vehicle is available for inspection. These recurring loss-of-power events create a serious safety risk for myself, my family, and other motorists.

I own a 2024 Chrysler Pacifica with open safety recall FCA 06D / NHTSA 26V-189 for side curtain airbags/ejection mitigation. I contacted the dealer approximately two months ago to schedule the free recall repair. The dealer advised there is a parts delay and the repair is still approximately two more months out. I checked for earlier repair options and was told no dealer can complete it sooner due to parts availability. This is a family vehicle used to transport children, and the recall involves side curtain airbags that may not retain sufficient pressure during deployment, increasing risk of injury or ejection. I am requesting NHTSA review because the manufacturer appears unable to provide the safety recall remedy in a timely manner. I am also seeking guidance on whether the vehicle is safe to continue driving and whether alternate transportation should be provided while waiting.

I am writing to formally express my concern and frustration regarding the unresolved recall on my vehicle. It has now been over a year since the recall was issued, and my point of purchase dealer still has not received the necessary parts to complete the repair. This extended delay has moved beyond inconvenience and has become a genuine safety issue. I rely on my vehicle daily, and continuing to drive it under an open recall, especially one involving safety components is unacceptable. I have been patient for more than a year, but the lack of progress and communication has left me with serious concerns. I expect prompt attention to this matter and a concrete plan to resolve the recall as soon as possible.

2024 Pacifica Van with 66,000 miles started to run rough then quit in a McDonalds parking lot in Richmond VA 70 miles from our home residence. I had the car towed to a local Chrysler dealership on Saturday night before Easter. The tow truck drive was kind enough to take myself, spouse, daughter and Golden Retriever to the Richmond airport where we rented a car and drove home to Leonardtown, MD. The Chrysler dealership troubleshoot the vehicle and ordered a fuel pump.

I started to brake on Peck Road. I turned into my driveway and as I started to come to a complete stop, the brake pedal went to the floor and the brakes did not engage and I went over a landscape wall. I have a video of the event from my ring camera. I went on-line and noticed that other Pacifica owners have had an issue similar to this one.

As prior reported I am the owner of a 2024 Chrysler Pacifica that has a known safety defect in the rear sliding doors that is impossible to disable. This issue also cases parasitic draw strain on the battery that can completely disable the vehicle. The affected system can not be isolated and triggers even without the vehicle in use even effecting the way that the engine runs when in use due to voltage issues that the door issue causes with the battery system in the vehicle. This is not an isolated issue Enterprise Rent a Car in Rome, New York also stated to me that they had the same issue with a Pacifica that they use for rentals when I mentioned why mine was in the show this was on 2/2/2026 at 4:00pm. Something should be done to fix this issue or at the very least they should have a way to completely turn off the effected system. Nye Dodge in Oneida, New York is doing the repair on my vehicle and can be reached at 315-277-8955 for more information about the cause, and the fix for this issue. I want to reiterate that this is not a one off issue it is a known issue with the Chrysler Pacifica series that should be investigated.

The headliner AC vent cover fell out while driving striking my minor daughter. We were driving a rental so we did not attempt to correct the issue, leaving the vent cover in the front, but we have found several other incidents reported online of the same issue. We did not take it in for inspection nor were any warning lamps on.

Rear sliding doors have an electrical issue that can cause a warning that the door is open to be displayed on the drivers information screen while the vehicle is in gear, and being driven. After a moment you will hear a relay click, the error message goes away, and after a while the error message shows up again this repeats in cycles. Attempts to disable the sliding door system for safety removing fuses do not work the system will continue to indicate that the door is open even when it has been closed manually. I just had the vehicle serviced at Nye Dodge in Oneida, New York so they have better information on what caused the issue, and the fix they can be reached at (315) 277-8955 for information on the issue. The issue I would like to bring to light is that in the event of a defect it is impossible to fully disable the sliding door, and it's sensors I have attempted to pull fuses to shut the system down, and can't find anyway to totally isolate the effected door for safety. I have been reassured the door will not open however I will not be using this vehicle to transport my children until this issue is corrected. You should be able to turn the system off in the event of a failure with one of the sliding doors.

I am reporting a failure by Chrysler (FCA US LLC) to provide a remedy for Recall 25V302 (55C) within a reasonable timeframe. The local dealer (Houston, TX) has confirmed a 6-week backorder for the side curtain airbag parts. The dealer refuses to ground the vehicle or provide a loaner/rental. As this defect involves a life-safety restraint system, I do not feel safe operating the vehicle, and the manufacturer is failing their federal obligation to provide a timely repair.

The charging system light came on. My wife went to charge at public charging station due to being close to one. After plugging in the van, it said charging failed. She unplugged the charged went to back up and the van died. Had to have it towed to dealer. Dealer states even though the van is in the warranty period, the IDCM which is up under the van is scuffed and therefore isn’t warrantied. They said there is a big dent in the muffler also so we must have ran over something and caused the damage even though we live in a city with paved streets, a subdivision with paved streets, and have a concrete driveway at our home. They said they have sent me emails with the pictures which I have yet to recieve. I went to the dealer and asked them to jack up my van so I can see the damage personally and they don’t have a lift available at the time, so I told them I would be back in town at a certain time from work and to call me so I could see it and they have yet to show me the scuffed IDCM module or the dented muffler. We haven’t run over anything to cause this kind of damage to a module like this because all the hybrid batteries are under the van. If the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid is so cheaply made for a $62,000 vehicle that something can “scuff” a module housing and shut a vehicle down, this is potentially very dangerous if someone were driving on the highway if it were to shutdown and someone (including myself or any of my family) were driving and lose all propulsion and steering (because it’s electric steering) or worse braking! It could be catastrophic with people dying. This needs to be investigated to see how fragile this component is and if they need to “toughen” it up or re-locate it. Versus trying to get by and get around paying warranty claims or hoping nothing happens until the units break down after the warranty period not knowing of the Safety hazard they have created for their vehicle owners and the driving public.

The contact owns a 2024 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V302000 (AIR BAGS); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.

I was driving the vehicle as normal when all of a sudden a message appeared and the engine shut down. The message was "Stop Safely Vehicle Will Shut Off Soon". It brought my speed down to 10 mph and I had to pull off the side of the road. This is now the 3rd time it has happened. We have brought it into the dealership previously and both times they said that they were not able to find the issue and since the message went away, we could proceed with driving the vehicle as normal. I have 3 little kids and we often drive on the highway and I no longer feel safe in my car. I know there is an open investigation for model years 2017-2023, but unfortunately ours is a 2024 so is not in that investigation.

The contact owns a 2024 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact stated that while attempting to make a left or right turn, there was an abnormal sound coming from the front driver’s side wheel. The contact stated that while attempting to depress the brake pedal, the vehicle made the same sound. A dealer was contacted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the wheel hub was loose and needed to be replaced. The wheel hub was replaced, and the vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 15,000.

Electrical 2

The vehicle was sold with a “minor accident” reported, but the condition suggests the damage may have been more significant. After purchase, I discovered the rear seatbelt did not work and required interior panels to be removed and replaced. A non-working seatbelt points to possible prior impact or structural damage affecting the restraint system. The vehicle also has an active safety recall for the side curtain airbags. The combination of a recall and a failed seatbelt raises concern that the vehicle may have been in a more severe collision than reported or repaired incorrectly. A failed seatbelt is a major safety hazard and should not be present at sale. The defect was confirmed by the dealer’s service department, and the vehicle has been in their possession since November 10, 2025. No warning lights appeared; the issue was found only when trying to use the seatbelt.
