Body 1

The vehicle currently has 119,000 miles. While driving, I received a service steering assist fault on my dashboard and immediately lost all power steering. There was no previous signs of any sort of power steering failure whatsoever. After diagnosing the vehicle, it was determined that the power steering control assist module head failed, which is directly attached to the rack and pinion assembly. After doing some research, it is very apparent that this is a common issue on all Fords of this era that have electric power steering. Due to the module being built into the rec companion, the entire rack assembly has to be replaced, which is about a $3000 job at the dealership. Given how much this is a reported problem I am surprised that it’s not already recall. This raises a severe driver safety concern as when operators are on the highway and lose all power steering, there is a little to no reaction that they are able to have when going 70+ miles per hour.

I have coolant intrusion into cylinder 3, pressure in the coolant tank, white smoke from the exhaust. I had code that indicated misfire in cylinder 3. I have taken it to Ford dealer and they did a diagnostic and stated the engine needs replaced. in my research I have found this is a very known issue with thousands of complaints, multiple class action lawsuits for the exact issue i have experienced. The dealer and Ford has stated that there are no active recalls for my vehicle even though it is such a wide spread issue. around 5k miles ago I had to replace the transmission in this same vehicle. I am being told there is no help with repair cost. What are my options. Now with the cost of the new engine on such a know issue and the transmission I feel that Ford has a responsibility in the repairs Yes the Vehicle is Currently at the Ford Dealer in Grand Junction Colorado I feel that with the new transmission and a Very well know engine issue, Ford should replace the engine

My child got into the back passenger seat and wasn’t able to click her seatbelt into the buckle. I used a flashlight to see if something had gotten stuck in it, there’s nothing. It simply won’t click in. The red button can be pressed down but won’t allow the seatbelt to go into it. I used this same seatbelt and could buckle into both other buckles.

The rear-view camera does not work. Very hard to back up. There are Blind spots with this vehicle. Ford notified us last year and still have not notified us for the repair. At first, it was intermittent, now not working at all. Ford has not given any time schedule to me at all. I think 10 months is long enough to have this issue rectified.

I received a recall notice for my car in Oct 2025 that the rear-view mirror may go blank while using it. This has happened on several occasions while I am driving in reverse and using the review view camera for guidance- it either goes blank or reverts to my entertainment screen while in use. I contacted Palmetto FORD in June 2026 to get this recall fixed but they stated the parts are still not available, they do not even have a replacement part number, nor do they know when this remedy will be available. I believe this is an unreasonable time frame to have a safety recall issue resolved and with no resolution date in sight.

When car in parking spot (running or started after overnight parked); when put into reverse nothing happens. Backed into a slot today; had to pull forward and redo; but when put into reverse nothing happened. Would, when in drive, go forward but not in reverse. Drove a couple 100 feet and tried reverse again - worked. Six months earlier when parked after starting and putting into reverse same issue happened. Finally got into reverse and took to garage. Could not repeat it at that time.

Ford is not providing parts to fix safety recall 25SA9 / NHTSA Recall 25V695. Our backup camera has been displaying “rear view camera is unavailable” for months. Notices went out in October and they STILL do not have parts available to fix it. This is a huge safety hazard for our 16 year old son and it’s ridiculous that they refuse to fix it in a timely manner. NINE MONTHS since we received the letter.
