2022 Jeep Wrangler

On 2/2/26 I took my vehicle to Thomson Motor Company to have the 68c recall repair completed. On 2/5/26 my car wouldn’t start and I was stranded. My vehicle was towed back to the same repair facility. On 2/6/26 they told me that my regular battery died and had to be replaced. After researching when the hybrid battery is re-coded/reprogrammed from the recall, it causes the regular battery to die due to and system overload to the regular battery. The dealer wouldn’t take responsibility or Jeep wouldn’t take responsibility. The dealer wanted to charge me $500 so I had the local Auto Zone replace the regular battery with a new battery for $238.00. I sent in a copy of the slip from the dealership to show what they had recommended and submitted a copy of the credit card receipt to Jeep and they are refusing to cover the replacement. I would not have had to replace the regular battery if the 68c recall didn’t cause my regular battery to die due to the overload. From my understanding they should have been replaced at the same time to keep this from happening. I want to be reimbursed for replacing the battery, for the cost of the tow and for the diagnostic at Thomson Motor Center.

I am writing regarding my 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4xe (VIN [XXX]), which has been out of service since January 2026 as a direct result of a manufacturer safety recall involving the high-voltage battery (Safety Recall 68C). The vehicle became inoperable because of this recall-related issue and has remained at the dealership ever since. Since that time, Aventura Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram and Stellantis engineering have made extraordinary efforts to repair the vehicle. According to your own service records, the following components have been replaced or repaired: The original high-voltage battery A first replacement high-voltage battery that proved to be defective A second replacement high-voltage battery The Power Integrated Module (PIM) The high-voltage wiring harness Multiple engineering diagnostic sessions involving Stellantis Field Technical Representatives and engineering personnel Despite months of repairs and repeated involvement by Stellantis engineering, the vehicle has still not been restored to normal operating condition. I own a 2022 4xe, ater the 68c recall the power of the electric drive is limited. Frequent power loss occurs on highway driving during acceleration (merging onto highway or passing other cars). Despite the battery being charged up to 50% there is only 25% power available. The car is a plug in hybrid vehicle. The internal combustion engine starts in these cases with several seconds delay. During that time the vehicle does not accelerate sufficiently to safely merge onto a highway or pass other cars. The power loss happens without warning during critical drive situations like merging onto a highway or passing other cars. The driver expects a continuous level of power by the car, not a sudden power loss. This is reported by countless other drivers on all social media platforms as a consequence of the 68C recall that affects 350 000 Jeep Wrangler 4xe and Grand Cherokee 4xe. Jeep does not respond to customer complaints or requests for clarification. I would like to request all these cases be looked into, and also contacting Jeep for the new parameters put in place to protect the battery, such as battery temperature and power limits put in place to "protect" a hardware issue within a battery with software

My 2022 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (VIN [XXX]) has completely lost power and shut down while being driven in moving traffic on three separate occasions, each time without warning. When it shuts down, the vehicle loses engine power and forward motion along with power-assisted braking, power-assisted steering, and hazard lights, and it has to be towed. The first failure occurred on or about XXX, at about 13,000 miles. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, and a bad battery cell and loose transmission control module terminals were addressed under warranty, but no cause for the shutdown was found. The second failure occurred on or about XXX, at about 14,608 miles. The vehicle shut down again in traffic and was towed in, leaving me stranded for over an hour. Replaced both batteries and No cause was found. The third failure occurred on or about XXX, at about 16,913 miles. The vehicle shut down a third time in traffic and was towed in. Both batteries failed testing and were replaced, and a blown 150-amp main fuse was replaced, but again no cause was identified. The vehicle still remains at the dealership and has not been diagnosed or repaired. After three repair attempts over roughly 4,000 miles, the manufacturer has not found or corrected the cause of these repeated electrical shutdowns. Losing all power in moving traffic, with no propulsion and no steering or braking assist, is an extreme safety hazard that could easily cause a crash. There has been no crash, injury, or fire so far, but the defect keeps recurring and the vehicle is still unsafe to rely on and is still at the dealer as no root cause has been found. RE: SAFETY COMPLAINT FOLLOWING RECALL 68C (NHTSA Recall Number 24V-111 / Mopar 68C) I am the owner of a 2022 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe. Prior to having safety recall 68C performed, the hybrid system functioned flawlessly. Immediately upon receiving the vehicle back from the dealership after the 68C software flash, a severe drivability and safety hazard emerged. When driving in standard Hybrid/Electric mode, the vehicle experiences a sudden loss of power, hesitation, and a physical 'bogging down' sensation. Following this lag, the vehicle violently surges into gasoline mode, causing a sudden and unpredictable acceleration lurch after the vehicle hesitates to accelerate. This behavior occurs randomly at both low neighborhood speeds and highway speeds, making it impossible to smoothly modulate throttle input. This creates an immediate safety hazard when attempting to pull out into cross-traffic, merge onto highways, or maintain a safe, predictable following distance. The vehicle hesitates when throttle is demanded, creating a risk of being rear-ended, followed by an uncommanded surge. The dealership states the vehicle is 'operating as designed' according to a regional Jeep field engineer, implying this dangerous lag-and-surge behavior was intentionally introduced into the vehicle's management software by the manufacturer to mitigate, the recall notice noted above, battery thermal risks at the expense of occupant driving safety. The manufacturer’s recall remedy has traded a fire risk for an active moving traffic hazard." Several forums and AI searches show this is a common problem the manufacturer has created to avoid a costly recall by addressing the real issue with the battery’s fire risk. Instead they have intentionally reduce the battery’s performance causing a safety issue with the vehicle’s acceleration and operation.

My 2022 Jeep Wrangler is subject to NHTSA Recall 26V363000 involving power steering wiring that may overheat and cause a vehicle fire. I was advised of the safety risk and informed that repair parts are not expected to be available until approximately August 2026. Due to the risk of fire, I do not feel safe keeping this vehicle at my home or parked near my residence until the recall repair is completed. The dealership has advised that no repair is currently available. I am requesting assistance from the manufacturer, including alternate transportation, a loaner vehicle, or other accommodations, until the safety defect can be repaired. I believe it is unreasonable to require owners to continue possessing a vehicle with a known fire risk while the recall remedy is unavailable for an extended period.

Violent front-end oscillation at 65 mph after hitting a bump, resulting in temporary loss of vehicle control. Happened y times. All at legal highway speeds. I had to bring the shuddering vehicle across multiple lanes of traffic to pull over and stop the vehicle to stop the violent shuddering. Vehicle is stock.

When driving down the road my jeep goes into an uncomfortable death wobble. It has already been to a dealer to fix this once but it isn’t . There is a weld defect in the driver side front and passenger door frame . When the electronics get hot from the summer heat they black out . The digital display is not calibrated to the odometer of the vehicle . The Jeep surges violently and almost caused a collision.

After the latest 68C recall fix, Jeep has adjusted the behavior of how the vehicle's electric mode operates. When the battery gets to a certain temperature when driving, the engine is supposed to turn on (to prevent the fire risk hazard). However, instead of the vehicle making the powertrain switch, the vehicle power will just stop. The pedal will go to the floor but no forward movement. It is dangerous in many driving situations, like the highway or among other vehicles when mine unexpectedly stops. Jeep has tried to fix this exact issue in 3 separate recalls, but it still occurs. They should buy back the vehicles as they seem to not be able to fix and they are not safe to drive.

I own a 2022 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon that is included in FCA Recall 21D (NHTSA Recall 26V-363). According to FCA, high resistance electrical activity in the electric hydraulic power steering pump connection may cause overheating of combustible materials and potentially result in a vehicle fire. FCA and NHTSA have advised owners to park affected vehicles away from structures and other vehicles until a remedy is available. On or about June 2026, I contacted my local dealership, Lee Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM, 3700 Raleigh Rd Pkwy W, Wilson, NC 27896, to schedule the recall repair. I was informed that there are currently no repair parts available and no remedy available. I was further advised that there is nothing I can do to prevent the defect from occurring and that the dealership would not notify me when parts become available. The only recommendation provided was not to park near anything flammable. My Jeep is my primary means of transportation, and I rely on it daily for work and family obligations. I continue making payments and maintaining insurance on a vehicle that the manufacturer acknowledges may present a fire risk. I believe it is unreasonable and unsafe to expect consumers to continue operating these vehicles without an available remedy or meaningful assistance. I have enrolled in the Mopar notification system to be notified when repair parts become available. I request that NHTSA review FCA's handling of this recall and determine whether additional action is necessary to protect affected consumers.

The windshield on my 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4xe appears to have optical distortion that causes significant glare and visibility problems when driving in direct sunlight. The windshield is available for inspection upon request. The problem affects my ability to clearly see the roadway, traffic, and other vehicles when sunlight hits the windshield. The distortion creates a wavy or blurry appearance that can be distracting and reduces visibility, creating a potential safety hazard while driving. The condition has been reproduced and confirmed by me on multiple occasions. The vehicle was inspected by Hendrick Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Wilmington, North Carolina, but warranty coverage was denied. The windshield has not been involved in an accident and there are no warning lights, messages, or other vehicle symptoms associated with this issue. The problem appears to be related to the windshield glass itself rather than any electronic system. The issue has been present for an extended period of ownership and is most noticeable during sunny conditions when light strikes the windshield at certain angles. I am filing this complaint because the visibility distortion creates a safety concern and I believe the windshield may have a manufacturing defect.

The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the instrument cluster displayed a black screen. The dealer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or a dealer. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V652000 (Electrical System); however, the VIN was not associated with the recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The contact was advised to contact the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 30,050.

My Jeep will not operate correctly in the electric mode after a software update that was required to resolve a recall. The vehicle loses power in the electric mode and surges into the gasoline mode suddenly. This occurs after the vehicle has been driven a while and when the battery level drops below 50%. Multiple recalls on jeep 4xe starting with the hybrid system from charging to the battery. Ultimately not fixable per Stellantis. Now electrical components in steering that present possible fire hazard at anytime. Not to mention the fact that if it can cause a fire, then the steering could fail in some unexpected way while driving, leading/contributing to an accident with serious injury or death. These combined make the car generally unreliable, potentially unsafe, and increase depreciation.

Unsure of the part or system that failed, however the auxiliary battery and power distribution system part was replaced previously and did not correct the problem. My safety was at risk when the speed and steering were affected. An independent service center worked on it and reproduced it. The car electronic system went through every warning light system while driving. "Stop/start not ready", "engine light", "airbag light", "service electronic stability control", SERV 4WD, ABS, BRAKE, "service airbag system", tire pressure monitoring, seatbelt light, "speed control messaging unavailable service required", and gas light all came on while driving. Speed was reduced and steering wheel locked up and released several times during the event.

The dealer was contacted, but no further information was provided. The manufacturer was not contacted. The contact had not experienced a failure.

In reference to Recall 21D / NHTSA 26V363, FCA has directed Jeep Wrangler owners not to park inside or near my home due to a fire risk. My local Jeep dealership and FCA have denied to offer a loaner vehicle, and they have denied my request to cover a rental vehicle. This only leaves me with the option to abandon my primary form of transportation, or drive a known fire hazard. I do not have an open space free of other combustible materials available to park my recalled vehicle, and driving the vehicle would create heat and increase the likeliness of a fire. FCA stated I would need to obtain a "Repair Order" from the dealership before they would consider covering a rental vehicle. However, the dealership stated they are not making appointments or taking vehicles under this recall at this time since there is no repair available. I contacted Sandy Sansing CDJR in Milton, FL on 06/11/2026 at approximately 12:47pm CST to inquire about appointment availability and the possibility of a loaner vehicle. I was directed by the service department to contact FCA directly as they did not have any loaner vehicles available. I contacted FCA the first time on 06/11/2026 at approximately 2:43pm CST. I contacted FCA again on 06/11/2026 at approximately 4:13pm CST to open a Star Case. For the answers to the recommended questions, the components involved are the hydraulic steering system components and nobody's safety has been put at risk at this time. The problem has not been reproduced outside of the events that led to the recall. The vehicle has not been inspected yet as the dealer is not making appointments for this issue at this time. No warning lamps related to this recall have appeared as of the time of writing.

Battery coolant system fails repeatedly. Taken to dealership 3 times. Vehicle was reset an was told this car not part of recall and issue resolved. Check engine light back on and it reads battery coolant fir hybrid system failed again.

The uconnect system/ networking with sirusxm guardian, SOS mode, wifi all fail. This affects any remote unlock or lock feature, connection with Sos button in event of emergency. This has also affected the ability of vehicle location updates if stolen, health system check complete failure, system health of 4xe battery monitoring and health failure, navigation system as well as mileage updates for the vehicle. Since November I have worked with sirusxm guardian and a Certified Jeep dealor on the issue with no resolution found nor repairs able to be made. Not only is this showing failure through inside of the vehicle, but also through Guardian, the Mopar account page as well as the Jeep app. Mine personally shows last connection over a year ago. When attempts were made to remote throufh Sos by giardian, the system failed on their end. When attempted through the vehicle, it says system failure, no network connections. I have spoke with several Jeep owners who either have or are experiencing the same issues and not only is this a huge safety concern, but could potentially be a large liability if this is not resolved due to a failure of any conjunction in the event of an emergency. I work in the safety and emergency field for 15+ years and this is a highly recommended feature but Jeep is failing to provide a resolution or issue a recall to be investigated; in which if there is a system failure in an emergency and an owner is unable to activate any service, this could potentially be a very big lawsuit. This is my last attempt at having a recall issued before going any further

While driving any speed most of the time slowing down "Performance limited service fuel system". Dealership looked at it 2 different times and said it was just the clamp of some sort..took it on again and they said it could be the high pressure fuel system. Nothing has been replaced as they do not know what is going on. The message pops up randomly and goes away very quickly. This Jeep currently have just over 19,000 for a 2022 model When we first noticed the message it had just over 12000 miles
