Transmission going out

Involved in collision between 35-45 at a speed of 35 to 45 mph. I had a car change lanes incorrectly causing me to rear end the vehicle. The front end of my car was crumpled in and mybairbags on my vehicle did not deploy as a result of the crash.

The contact owns a 2014 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that the brake pedal was not sending the correct signal to the ABS. The "Hill Assist" option was not operational while driving on a slope and the brake lights remained illuminated, even when the brake pedal was not depressed. An independent mechanic was contacted and associated the failure with the brake pedal failure. The contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V011000 (Services Brakes, Hydraulic). The dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 200,000.

The brake pedal switch pad was recalled and failed after being fixed and tripped the whole ABS system which caused the whole transmission to not shift and I didn’t have traction. My taillights stayed on 24/7 and I had to disconnect my battery. Ford did nothing

I had a recall on my 2014 ford fusion se regarding powertrain control module software update. I took my vehicle in to Athens ford 6/8/26 to have this fixed then on Friday my car lost power while driving, would not go l, then when I cut it off & back on it was like it went in to failsafe or limp mode. I called Athens ford 5 times on Friday & got no answer, 3 on Monday with no answer then found the number of the lady I dealt with in June. If I paid to have it towed there they could run diagnostics on it she said bc the mobile technicians couldn’t come out and do it. So I log in to my ford account and it showed this recall on the recall I had done it June. I screenshot it and sent it to her and she said it didn’t show it I needed to contact customer care. They told me the same thing that it didn’t show it. So I done a screen recording today of me logging in to my ford account and this is what it showed. Sent that to her and all they can respond is contact customer care. So I’m reaching out with this proof of what it shows and that being exactly what my car done and ford refusing to help me. The contact owns a 2014 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that upon entering the vehicle, there was an abnormally strong fuel odor coming from the vehicle. The failure persisted, and the fuel odor became stronger, causing the contact headaches while driving the vehicle. Upon taking the vehicle to an independent mechanic to determine the cause of the failure, the mechanic discovered that the fuel line was rusted. The mechanic informed the contact that he was unsure what had caused the failure. The contact was provided an estimate for the repair. The mechanic stated that had the contact continued driving the vehicle as-is, the vehicle could have caught on fire. The vehicle remained with the dealer unrepaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

Took car in May to hemborg ford they replaced my brake bumper it was on recall. Took car back on August 3 of 2026 brake lights staying on. Had them recheck the recall again thought it might be that. I was told it was not the issue. I needed to change out brake switch and had to pay diagnostic fee so a total of just under 300. My brake lights stay on while driving my car and when we park the car. they had my car 3 days then picked up my car on August 5 Drove it home and immediately noticed still having the same issues.Brake lights on even after I Called dealer and brought car back in. They kept my car 2 more days then I received a call it would be 200 for a brake flush they were confident that it would fix the light issue. And now we would we have to pay for another repair. A brake flush for brake lights staying on didn’t make sense. We felt we were being upsold for something we didn’t need and they had no answere for us! We declined the second repair and picked up car on 8/07/2026 and still the brake lights are staying on while driving the car. We woke up to looking out our window and noticed lights were on . Mind you the car had not been driven for hrs and the lights turned themselves on while car was parked. Skip to Sunday driving home from in laws and dash lights up. It says hillside assist and yellow wrench pops up. I fear my daughters safety and feel it is unsafe now. Called Ford to make a complaint. But meanwhile I have a car that we need but feel unsafe to drive. Our car is having more issues than when we took it in to the dealer. I need a resolution but what I really need is my money back so that I can take the car elsewhere! I feel car was misdiagnosed and I should not have to pay for their mistake.No options were given just to pay for more repairs. We asked for past invoices to be printed so I can keep a copy. Was told they cannot print past invoices. I felt we were taken advantage of we should get our money back for a diagnosis that was not repaired.

Almost got into an accident twice. Complete steering loss while driving. Replaced my rack n pinion per the bhph dealership i bought it from and still having issues. Complete steering loss while driving.

The backup camera is faulty and will sporadically stop working. Sometimes it will stop working in the middle of backing up. When it doesn't work the screen will either go black, flicker on and off, show a reversed image, or show an image with blue lines through it. This has put my safety at risk multiple times as I've been backing up and suddenly the image will disappear. We've taken the car into an independent service shop. They were unable to solve the issue and their only solution was to replace the system for $600. There was no warning before this started happening, however it does seem to be getting worse as time goes on. It only works about 10% of the time now.

All brake lights are stuck on after turning the car off.

The car is suffering random shutdown and intermittent times. The battery is no longer holding a charge and when it shuts down this places me at extreme risk. Ford is unable to fix it so this is no longer happening without replacing the High Voltage battery - battery from ford alone is 11k. I cannot be the only one who is dealing with this car doing this.

My backup camera is malfunctioning and Ford denied to fit it through their 15 year extended warranty on backup cameras.

Actionable Safety Issue Summary This complaint concerns fraudulent billing and dangerous misrepresentation by Woodhouse Ford of Omaha, which claimed a vehicle's 3rd rack and pinion system was "safe" on 2/19/2026 after a known safety issue, following a previous failure. They further charged $219.22 for unrendered/improper ABS programing repairs that was not successful because the electric rack and pinion is defective on 3/5/2026 and fabricated invoice records to shift liability. Parties Involved •Consumer: [XXX] •Dealer/Service Provider: Woodhouse Ford of Omaha, Service Manager Jeremy Sullivan, Technician Anthony Rubio. •Financial Institution: First National Bank of Omaha (Regulated by OCC). III. Nature of the Dispute 1.Safety Hazard/Misrepresentation (2/19/2026): Service Manager Jeremy Sullivan and Tech Anthony Rubio stated the vehicle’s rack and pinion was "safe" despite a prior failure. This misrepresentation has left me with a vehicle that has had the rack and pinion fail or require replacement three times in under a year. 2.Services Not Rendered (3/5/2026): Charged $219.22 for "programming the ABS module" which was not rendered or not performed correctly. 3.Fabricated Documentation: Woodhouse Ford created fraudulent service invoices stating I diagnosed the ABS fault and declined further diagnosis. This is an attempt to evade liability for ongoing, dangerous defects. IV. Regulatory Violations & Requested Action The described actions violate consumer protection laws, including: •Dodd-Frank UDAAP (12 USC § 5536): Unfair, Deceptive, or Abusive Acts or Practices. •Fair Credit Billing Act (15 USC § 1666): Billing error/services not received. •Regulation E (12 CFR 1005.11): Procedures for resolving errors. Backup camera has been mostly inoperable for two years. The display is blurry at best, and works intermittently. Most often, the screen displays "Camera Not Available" or just goes black. Ford has issued a recall for other model years but needs to include the 2014 as we have the same issues.

Driver side rear door handle broke off!

The backup assisting camera is no longer working properly, causing a safety issue while reversing. There are recalls on this from 2015 to 2019 but not 2014 even though the same issue is happening with the 2014's.
