this has actually been a problem since I first got the car in 2015 but probably started happening in 2016. but it happens so intermittently that I hardly thought about it or figured it just needed a new battery. but I changed the battery and it is still happening where the car won't start. I have to push the button repeatedly or put the car in N to get it to start. eventually it works but I'm worried about an electrical issue causing a fire. when it doesn't start all the lights on the dashboard light up. I keep trying and eventually it works. as I said, I'm afraid it will cause a fire. I called honda and they said some cars were recalled for starter issues but not my vin number. seems like if other Hondas had issues mine would too.

the visor won't close all the way and once when braking it cut my husband's forehead. if we get into an accident it could cut slice his forehead. my husband and children noticed this but I never did because I am shorter in the driver's seat. it's pretty dangerous that it won't lay flat against the headliner.

In my 2015 Honda Accord. The ABS, adaptive cruise control, vehicle stability assist, power steering, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, traction control, hill start assist, and brake system dash lights have all been intermittently coming on and off starting right around 150k miles. Now all of the lights have been on for some time now. I spoke to AutoNation Honda and Chapman Honda here in Tucson and both dealerships said it was a known VSA module issue with Honda. One quoted a $3,700 fix while the other estimated the job to be about $3,800. Technicians at AutoNation Honda confirmed that my Accord has the 32-11 ABS Solenoid Valve Malfunction, and the 85-01 VSA Module Malfunction codes that are directly related to the weak solder used by Honda on these modules. It’s unbelievable that this has been a known issue with Honda’s VSA/ABS modules, and nothing can be done because the cars regular brakes can still be used. This issue directly affects almost every safety function this car came with. Everything is disabled. It’s really unfortunate that this known issue can be labeled as normal wear.

First time my 2015 Accord 4dr FWD V6 AT failed to turn, I was coming out of parking area onto busy highway when I suddenly wasn't able to turn steering wheel to right enough to complete the turn and crossed over oncoming traffic lane to opposite shoulder. I parked and tried turning both directions while stationary, and was able to get full range to the left smoothly, but continued to meet complete resistance slightly right of center. There were no warnings whatsoever and the car operated normally prior to this incident. After about 4 minutes of sitting, I restarted car and noticed steering was restored both directions, firmer when moving and very smooth when parked. I took it home and had independent mechanic diagnose and troubleshoot with no answers other than possibly suspension or alignment. I replaced suspension components, got 4-wheel alignment, and steering was firm, responsive, and didn't lock up again for about 200 miles. The next time the steering acted up was when my son was driving back from church and couldn't turn left, again without warning. This time the car kept going straight and he was able to stop before hitting a large metal post. I brought the car home on a trailer. There were no codes, warning lights, sounds, smells, or any other indications of malfunction leading up to this failure. Over the next 2 months, I drove short trips within 8 miles of home on not busy streets and found no specific trend; this steering failure is recurrent, intermittent, and spontaneous, sometimes with stutter in turn. I'm not sure if it's related to known magnet problem or electrical/electronic issue. Obstructs evasive maneuvers. If we were on a mountain (not uncommon if hiking, sightseeing, visiting loved ones, or traveling), this car would have taken my family over the side of steep drop-off or crashed into cliff. Either way, cars don't abruptly transition from horizontal to sharp vertical, and this issue poses severe threat to lives and high probability of injury.

The Power Steering Light, Traction Light, ABS Light, and Brake Light all came on and would stay on leading me to check the code which was a 121-11 which seems to be a very common issue with the 9th generation Honda Accord.

The abs module failed. It is designed to fail as the wires are super thin. Repair quote was $4,000. The part, I’m sure, is then sent out and fixed cheaply then resold for a premium.

An accident occurred in my vehicle on 05/29/2026. It resulted in both air bags deploying even though the passenger side that was involved in the collision and damaged. It was considered a total loss due to the frame and passenger side as well as both air bags deployments. The driver sustained major lacerations on his forearm and was bleeding profusely from his arm during the time of the accident. The vehicle did not have comprehensive insurance therefore had to be salvaged and sold to the junk yard.

Same complaint as others with ABS Module failing. I’ve been going to Honda dealerships for the past 4 years feeling like my car just wasn’t riding right. No one ever mentioned anything about this problem. Last visit was 3 weeks ago at Walker Honda in Alexandria La. and same thing…car is perfect no problems found. 2 weeks later all these lights came on the dash same as the others and they never mentioned this problem! I’m a single grandmother raising 2 grandchildren (with no help), taking care of disabled mother and work for the state so I don’t make much money. This is my only vehicle. I love my Honda but seriously thinking of going with another brand for the fact these Honda dealerships don’t disclose this to you. Every dealership I’ve gone to has never mentioned this problem everyone seems to have with the same Honda vehicle with the same problem! Honda care…after they get the money for that vehicle they’re done unless there is more money to make off you.

I was driving down the road and when i tried to hit the throttle to speed up a little suddenly the car just started misfiring randomly with zero warning beforehand. I tried to hit the throttle a couple more times but it kept misfiring and then the engine light, tpms light, traction control light and a couple other lights all lit up and i immediately had to pull over to the side of the road because it was extremely dangerous. i will also add that i had just got off the freeway maybe two minutes prior and it would've been a completely different story if that had happen then. I have an OBD scanner in my car and i immediately pulled it out to check what the codes were which it was a single code all around P0087. The high pressure fuel pump had completely died in the middle of me driving and was not even allowing a test when i took it in for a diagnostic. i replaced the high pressure fuel pump and it completely resolved the car issues and the codes went away immediately. i still have the faulty pump in my possession to. be inspected by someone if needed. the only reason a crash or something extremely tragic didn't happen is because it was later at night and the cars behind me happen to be a decent enough distance for me to be able to get over to put my car in a safer position to not obstruct the road and get a tow truck to assist me.

FCW warning lights - "system failed" - repeatedly flashing along with several other warning lights - steering, brake , ABS, LDW - suddenly appeared. This is an ABS module fail. From all the research I have done, this is a reoccuring problem in Hondas. The wiring is too small, delicate and the part / module needs to be recalled and replaced with more substational wiring . This is very dangerous and extremely frightening for a driver as there is no warning other than when lights appear. An individual has no ability to know if the car is safe to drive, both for themself and for others on the road! RECALL - REPLACE !

I am reporting suspected odometer fraud and possible VIN [XXX] entation involving a vehicle being offered for sale. The seller stated the vehicle has approximately 123,000 miles. However, a vehicle history report and third-party valuation (Carvana) show the same vehicle VIN [XXX] ) wi [XXX] les recorded. This is a discrepancy of more than 180,000 miles. I personally photographed the VIN plate on the vehicle and confirmed the VIN [XXX] ) matches the h [XXX] ing high mileage. The seller did not disclose the higher mileage and is advertising the vehicle at a value consistent with a much lower-mileage vehicle. This appears to be an intentional misrepresentation of the vehicle’s true mileage. I have screenshots of the listing, seller communications stating 123,000 miles, VIN [XXX] ) photos, and documentatio [XXX] er mileage history. I am submitting this complaint to report potential odometer rollback or mileage fraud so the vehicle can be investigated before another buyer is harmed. 1. POWER STEERING RACK 2. ABS MODULATOR My 2015 Honda Accord experienced a sudden failure of both the ABS system and power steering rack. The dealership confirmed the failure was not due to neglect or wear. Due to the safety risk the repair estimate exceeding $14,000 for the safety system and regular repairs, I was forced to trade in the vehicle. Honda denied goodwill assistance on the safety systems (power steering rack & ABS modulator) November 17, 2025 saying vehicle is out of warranty and cited value and year of the vehicle. I was the only owner of vehicle and only serviced at Balise Honda of West Warwick and/or Johnston RI.
